A dynamic and versatile talent, whose energy is not only felt in his music but also his showmanship, Jon Mavek is no stranger to the New York nightlife scene. He is a veteran in the game with 3 decades of experience playing in clubs and lounges in the city. Places like Le Souk, Guernica, Sapphire, Porch, National Underground and Cielo.  Jon was first exposed to the art of DJing when he was 12 years old from his older brother that at the time was a DJ himself. At the age of 15, he taught himself how to DJ and practiced his new found passion and began to play at local parties in Washington Heights New York where he grew up. In the late 90’s at the age of 21 he landed a residency at the Kenny Scharft room at Tunnel Night Club and in 2003 Jon began to focus his energy on music production and as of late he has produced tracks that have made the top 100 Afro House charts on Traxsource. His DJ sets have been praised for their range, selection and his technique and his productions have received support from many of the great producers in the game. Jon’s love for the music and his passion for the art form is undeniable. 

Mavek Recordings is his record label established in 2018 and launched in 2020. Its  focus is on House music mainly Afro House, Afro Latin, Deep House, Chill Out Lounge Ambient Electronica and anything in between.
