This chapter talks about the dire situation of Sikhs in Punjab where every Sikh is prosecuted and executed just so that no Sikh remains. These efforts are undertaken by the tyrant Mughal governor, Zakriya Khan. Bhai Tara Singh Ji is a very good hearted person who helps the Sikhs and once a Sikh comes to 2 Sikhs and complains that a local landlord, Sahib Rai, a Hindu is being very unjust. When the Sikhs told Sahib Rai to restrain his pony which eats their crops, he instead said, "I will make a rope using your hairs to restrain the horse." Listening to this, the duo Sikhs went and kidnapped the pony so to punish his wrongdoings. When Sahib Rai sent trackers to track the whereabouts, the tracks led to Bhai Tara Singh Ji's house.
