In a week that felt like an uphill battle, both at work and at home with the kids, I struggled to find a moment of peace or a spark of inspiration. Every day I tried to stick to my routine, switching on my Push 3 in the hope that playing with it might spark some joy. But day after day, nothing seemed to work. I kept wondering why it was so hard to find that spark.

Then came Sunday, the day of the wav.ryders beat challenge. I wasn't in the best of moods, feeling grumpy and uninspired, especially when I saw that the sample pack was full of happy, upbeat Latin music - not what I was in the mood for. But I had no choice but to dive in. Surprisingly, as I forced myself to work with what I had, something shifted. I ended up with a bass-heavy groove that, against all odds, felt right.

It was a bit of an epiphany to me. I realised that the process of making music, just being in the moment, is my way of coping with stress, especially when it's emotional. There's something about spending time making music that calms me down more than anything else. And doing it in a live environment with 25 other producers around adds to that positive energy. It's a supportive atmosphere that's hard to beat.

So a huge thank you to all the amazing people out there in the beat making community. A special shout out to ob one and  wav.ryders for their support. This week proved that even when you don't feel like it, pushing through can lead to something great. It's all about the process and the people you share it with. One love, peace out.
