Nathan Evans - Wellerman (Mazeo Remix)

Nathan Evans' minimalist version of this classic sea shanty is justifiably addictive. But I needed an EDM version for my sets.  Some restructuring of the verses was needed, and I manually created the "rolling" swing feel on the verses with warping in Ableton.   I topped it off Future Rave-meets-Hardstyle drop for a fun and unique journey.   Finally, I was inspired to create an entire music video with AI. (Check out my YouTube channel for that) Enjoy!

Korai évek...

1976-ban születtem Magyarországon.
Már a ’90-es évek elején elragadott a zene világa: DJ-ként és partyszervezőként kezdtem, valamint belemélyedtem a hangtechnika rejtelmeibe.
A ’90-es évek végén Dobrocsi Krisztiánnal (Forteba) és Ferenc Tiborral közösen megépítettük első hangstúdiónkat, amely a Garage Studio nevet kapta. Itt számos zenekar és előadó felvételein dolgoztunk, és közben a zenealkotás titkait is elsajátítottuk.
(Gero, Double Portion, Cool Cafe, Geri, Pálinkás Gergő, fromP60, MilanKhol, Luigi, Novák Péter, Nat Nichols, és még sokan mások...)

Le Garage...

2000-ben Krisztiánnal megalapítottuk a le Garage zenekart, amely az akkori magyar underground zenei élet meghatározó szereplője lett.
Több neves előadóval dolgoztunk együtt.
Ákos Keresem az utam című dalának remixversenyén első helyezést értünk el.
Hivatalos remixeket készítettünk az Animal Cannibals és más zenekarok számára.
A Pepsi Sztárcsináló döntőseiként és számos válogatáslemezen szerepelve a le Garage emlékezetes élményeket adott sokunknak.

Új utak...

Az életem később a családalapítás irányába fordult, és Angliába költöztem. Bár egy időre eltávolodtam a zenétől, a zenealkotás iránti szenvedélyem soha nem halványult el.
Anglia új utakat nyitott számomra, és közben egy csodálatos családot építettünk. A feleségem, Szilvia, és három kislányunk, Lara, Mia és Julianna mindennapos inspirációt adnak az élethez és a zenéhez.

Új stúdió, új dalok...

2020-ban megépítettem saját hangstúdiómat angliai otthonunkban. Azóta szabadidőmet ott töltöm, ahol remixek és saját zenék készítésével foglalkozom amelyek itt megtalálhatók.

Maybe a musician, maybe an artist, maybe a bass player… or maybe just an asshole !
