This week LTP host David Boylan is hanging in his favorite grocery store anywhere Holiday Market in Royal Oak with Eric Blotcamp, director of catering sales. Holiday Market is a destination store where folks from all over Southeast Michigan come to shop for the best of everything. Their catering department is also recognized as world class and Eric has some great stories of amazing events his team have catered.

This track was written as a response to finding out a friend was struggling with her mental health after her husband started working away from home. The track was left unfinished and gathering dust for some time, until one afternoon I was dragged along to the cinema to watch the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie and upon returning home full of inspiration (and loving the show, shh!) I sat for the whole night composing riffs on the keyboard, so the old song was dusted off and the riffs completed the puzzle, so thank you Taylor!

It was probably over 20 years ago, I was either at the Roskilde Festival or at the Sziget Festival, I can't remember exactly, and one of my best friends said, we definitely have to listen to this one band. Sister and brother, they're going to be really big. It was such an awesome concert. I enjoyed making this adaptation of the song all the more and reminiscing about old memories...The edit turned out pretty dark and aggressive, but I think it fits the lyrics quite well. Have fun listening.

Whether it was supporting Les Battersby from Coronation Street in a Lionel Richie covers band, being sandwiched between the bingo and Sticky Vicky as one of The Blues Brothers or even playing his acoustic upside down in the middle of nowhere before heading off to work all night in a car factory...Ricky’s rite of passage continues to be a colourful one!

Ricky began his musical journey when he was still at school as a bass player playing in bands in the North East and London before moving on to Spain and slowly gravitating from the shadows to the centre stage.

Years spent travelling around the North playing at endless different venues and events honed his craft and reputation as a solid performer and in March 2020 he released his debut album ‘The Right Light’ to critical acclaim, having three tracks from it played on BBC Introducing, including one track of the week for ‘Coming Up’.

I am a composer and guitar player from Dresden (Germany) and this is my electro project. 
Actually, I'm from the classical field, but in recent years I've been more and more involved with the club scene and electronic music. And here are the results! I hope you'll enjoy :)

After a day in Highgate Cemetery, something about me changed-I could hear an acoustic guitar in my head; one that echoed with character that I started to create lyrics for-and so I formed Twsited Ecstasy as a way of sharing the tainted laughter of the presences I felt within that cemetery that day-and so our music attempts to precisely emulate that character and share it to the world.
