Tribe Ascension III DJ Set

"Pieces of Self" is a mix I made to start setting a fractional tone of ideas and blending some soundscapes I like from other artists, new to me, who've created them that represent becoming more genuine to my being. I've been working on a few more mix tapes recently, each focused on a specific theme, and I wanted to try something a bit more freeform and less rigid. Just mixes that I liked. This is the first exploration of that.

Pieces of Self

Part man, part myth, part munted, SubStable plays a blend of different bass music with an emphasis on wonky glitch hop vibes. 

His sets are fresh and interesting with sounds ranging from funky and fun to chunky and dark. 

Regardless of which direction he takes in his sets though, they all have one thing in common - 
They’re so filthy you’ll feel like showering immediately after.

I’m a Minneapolis-based DJ that spins psychedelic, glitch-hop, neuro, breaks, dnb, experimental bass music that takes listeners on a journey through deep squelchy grooves and vibrant funky soundscapes. I've brought my sound to venues like the Pourhouse, Skyway Theatre, Barfly, Earth Rhythms, Sunrise Music Festival, The Thing At The Cabin, Hearths O Phyre,  as well as featured on the Camp Lynlake local DJ stream. My sets mesh cohesive yet contrasting, mind-expanding tracks that keep the dancefloor puddled yet demonstrative. This new project is a departure from my previous one, being that I'll be exploring much more contrasting sounds, bpms and "untraditional" melodies/discord. I'd like to reflect a more accurate version of my inspirations and evolution is constant.
