Rowan Carter is a mid-20s bluegrass artist who writes songs about growth, resilience, and finding light in hard places. Her debut single, “Phoenix in the Rain,” pairs warm acoustic instrumentation with lyrics that balance vulnerability and hope.

With a voice that feels both gentle and steady, Rowan’s music captures the heart of bluegrass while offering a personal, modern touch — honest storytelling set to strings that stay with you long after the song ends.

All of my tracks on Soundcloud are free to download. 100% of my tracks on Soundcloud are my own original works, I don't do covers, arrangements or remixes.  I mainly write melodies, my pieces usually consist of a lot of melodic content and are melody driven. My music is multi-instrumental, I use many different instruments.. Many of my pieces contain more notes than a Pop song, less notes than a symphony. 

I compose music in many genres: Children's, Jazz, Melodic, Ethnic, Space, Halloween, Classical, Southern/Western, Rock. My music encompasses a lot of variety, it is eclectic. Freedom. All my pieces have been notated, contact me and send me your email address if you want free PDF's of particular compositions. I currently use Sibelius 7.1.3 and Noteperformer. I have been writing music since I was in Junior High School, I have some songs with lyrics, but most are instrumentals. I was in band in High School and College, and I have been a member in several choirs as well.  

Update: I have recently uploaded virtually all of the compositions I have composed since 1997. I have included playlists as part of my offerings, with compositions from many novel genres.

I am open to collaborations with members of Soundcloud.
