Modern Society

This was inspired by someone I know who recently lost his wife, and what that internal struggle must be like as he goes through his daily routines.

Picks up the phone to check in with her,
forgot how long she's been gone.

A slow blues track with lyrics written by Les Young on the subject of the shock experienced when "one day a schoolboy, the next day a working man" in the North East of England in the late 60's early 70's.

Blackwater were a band from Blyth, Northumberland playing Southern Rock in the pubs and clubs of North East England during the late 70s, early 80s and on some rare occasions in the 90s. Some of the members reunited and caught up with old friends to socialise, reminisce, and drink, while making music in "Keith's Back Room", and that's what I now call the Blackwater Social Club.
