スーパーファミコンの後味は、ちょっとFMで洗い流しましょう！
今回使っているのは2オペFM音源チップのYM3812。昔のPC用サウンドカードに使われていたもので、自分にとってはまさに子供時代そのものです。このチップが好きなのは、OPLLによく似ていながら、自分で音色を定義できるところ。まるで本来の力を解放したような感じがします。
音はシンプルですが、うまく扱えばとても美しい響きになります。今回作ったストリングスの音も、自分ではかなり気に入っています。もちろん、これを本格的なメガドライブ風リミックスに仕上げたいと思っています。
