To anyone that’s grieving over loss of someone important in their life, I pray and hope you find comfort in this little mashup I’ve made for my late Tito Mandy. His spirit will always live on in our hearts until the day we are all reunited again. 🤍💫✨

To my Tito Mandy, I know you’re no longer in pain from the last 7 years you were fighting. I know that you’re also home and blooming in the skies up above with the rest of the family that’s moved on. I love you so much. 🥺🙏🏽

Rush Over Me from Worlds Away - Seven Lions x Said the Sky x Dabin x Illenium x Jason Ross

The music represented here is an example of some of the original compositions that I wrote in the late 90s in MIDI format. Similar to my Enhanced Game MIDIs, these works use general MIDI samples from my Yamaha Motif ES8 workstation keyboard. Although they were polished for presentation with expression and mixing tweaks, these songs overall maintain the Super Nintendo-inspired composition style that I produced years ago.

I made several MIDIs in the 1990s for a virtual world called Dreamscape: the first and last remaining zone in a vintage metacommunity called VZones (formerly WorldsAway).  Dreamscape features a fantasy atmosphere inspired by Greek mythology.  It is the land of the god of dreams, Morpheus, and its central area of interest is the City of Phantasus on the Island of Kymer.   Unlike music for Second Kingdom, the compositions written for Dreamscape all share a common melody—a leitmotif—and are entirely unofficial.

This western theme from July of 1996 represents Bar-L Bar, a saloon that was well-known for its house Red Eye.  The intro for the piece takes cues from an old western tune that many may recognise, but the rest is completely mine.  Some adjustments were made to the composition to improve its flow and balance using the same writing philosophy that I had in the 90s.  Amongst these changes are the improved guitar chord strumming techniques and the softening of some jarring hits, as well as some smaller tweaks.  Please enjoy this classic!

ILLENIUM x DABIN x  NIKADEMIS - IN YOUR ARMS FROM WORLDS AWAY

This samba theme from September of 1997 represents Isle Caribe, a tropical club with island jungle safari décor.  Back then, progress on the project ceased for no clear cut reason, but I do recall that I was unhappy with the way the steel drums were handled later.   Picking up the project again nearly 28 years later, I added the B section and ending to match the others of the set.  Some adjustments were made to the composition to improve its flow and balance using the same writing philosophy that I had in the 90s.  Amongst these changes are the improved diversity in the percussion line, the transfer of the early bottle blow phrases to the choir, and some smaller tweaks made to the steel drums and bass. The Sky Stayed Where It Was is the first demo from a new series of songs Barbonus is currently working on.

Inspired by childhood afternoons spent building fragile gliders from bamboo sticks and plastic foil, the song reflects on the old dream of flight — and the quiet moment when you realise the sky will stay exactly where it is.

Part memory, part observation.

Switch is another demo from the new series of songs Barbonus is currently working on.

A quiet observation about how easily we connect, disconnect and redefine ourselves — sometimes in seconds.

A song about choice, roles and the strange freedom of being able to switch at any time.

Barbonus is a German lyricist who treats songwriting as a form of literature. His tracks begin with words – fragments of prose, quiet observations, poetic disruptions – and build outward into minimalist soundscapes.

Instead of writing hits, Barbonus writes moments. His lyrics don’t chase hooks; they linger, reveal, suggest. Framed by gentle synths and indie-flavored textures, his work explores memory, digital disconnection, and the beauty of unfinished thoughts.

Beyond his solo work, Barbonus moves between several constellations:
• with Vela Sorell he forms the duo BC25, exploring fragile songs of memory and breath.
• with Klarstein.rocks he releases playful Country-inspired tracks and writes German lyrics in the ironic spirit of the NDW.
• in his archive work, he reconstructs cassette recordings from the 1990s, recovering fragments from a rehearsal basement.

With growing attention from international blogs describing his sound as “electronica with heart” and “a softer, more introspective space,” Barbonus positions himself less as a performer and more as a narrator. A voice at the edge of the frame, crafting scenes in words before sound enters the room.

For him, music is not the message – it’s the carrier wave.

Hailing from Orange County, California, psychodelix delivers an emotional fusion of dubstep and melodic bass. He began producing and DJing at 17, but his creative journey paused when he joined the United States Marine Corps. It wasn’t long before the spark reignited—this time from the confines of his barracks room, where he returned to music with renewed purpose.

Influenced by artists like SLANDER, Afinity, Aaron Shirk, and ROY KNOX, psychodelix channels his own experiences of heartbreak, growth, and resilience into sound. His tracks are more than melodies—they’re stories of rising from pain, finding light, and lifting others along the way. With uplifting energy and a commitment to connection, psychodelix aims to leave listeners not just moved, but empowered.
