Nacido en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, con raíces andaluzas marcadas, AKELA es un artista con una trayectoria tan diversa como su sonido. Técnico de sonido, trabajador en plataformas petroleras, productor de eventos y artistas, asesor de acceso industrial con cuerda... pero, ante todo, escritor y músico.

Desde niño, la escritura ha sido su vía de escape, su manera de canalizar inquietudes y transformar la realidad en palabra. Su amor por la música lo llevó a fundar uno de los mayores colectivos de reggae de Canarias, promoviendo la cultura underground y dejando su huella tanto en los escenarios como en las fachadas que ha pintado.

Musicalmente, AKELA canta desde finales de los 90, acumulando más de 60 canciones y logrando el número uno de reproducciones en la desaparecida MySpace con Suppamasta Sound. Su recorrido le ha permitido colaborar con artistas locales, nacionales e internacionales, llevando su sello característico allá donde pisa.

Su estilo es una fusión de reggae roots, rap y raggamuffin, con letras incisivas sobre ritmos percusivos y una presencia innegociable de graves. BASS IS A MUST! Aunque afirma que "escribe, no hace canciones", su sonido está innegablemente influenciado por los clásicos del rap y raggamuffin en español, desde Jamaica y Panamá hasta la escena española.

Actualmente, AKELA está sumergido en su próximo gran proyecto: "THE PACK", una serie de 25 pistas que verán la luz a lo largo de 2025.

DJ and producer since 1999.  Over 1 million listens across streaming platforms.  Focused on House, HipHop, Dance. Based out of Boston, MA.

OttaCee started music production at the age of 17.  His inspirations of Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden, Robbie Rivera focused his remixes and original around big beat, house, progressive.  At 19, he picked up his first set of turntables and mixer, releasing his first mixtape "Wicked Good HipHop" which went viral across high school and colleges in the Boston area.

Moved into Boston in 2001, started working more live events posting mixes on the MusicV2 platform.   Focused on music production, created DJ-friendly edits to address the gaps in remix services.  Produced over 100 edits, remixes, blends, bootlegs with more popular being "Sexy Deja Vu" (Justin Timberland vs Beyonce) which got constant play in Miami and Vegas.

Officially retired from full-time music in 2012.
