Als de vijftienjarige Amy wordt ontvoerd, blijkt Lucy, iemand die in haar jeugd ook ontvoerd is, alles te voelen wat Amy voelt. Mulder ziet de connectie tussen de twee direct en denkt Amy te kunnen redden met behulp van Lucy. Scully is sceptisch, maar uiteindelijk lijkt Mulder dichterbij de waarheid te zitten iedereen verwacht.

De rollen worden omgedraaid wanneer Scully open staat voor religieuze wonderen en Mulder er niks van wil weten. Al elf geestelijken zijn vermoord omdat ze “wonderen” zouden verrichten en bij nummer twaalf blijkt dat iets dichter bij de werkelijkheid te staan dan bij de anderen. Lukt het Scully en Mulder om de 12-jarige Kevin te redden van de moordenaar?

Mulder en Scully hebben een welverdiende vrije dag en Mulder besteedt deze natuurlijk aan het spotten van UFO’s. Als een agent hem controleert blijkt dat er dat er in het dorp moorden worden gepleegd door kakkerlakken. Mulder is direct gefascineerd en met Scully op afstand en een hele mooie dr. Bambi proberen ze de zaak op te lossen.
