During this one's mastering phase I really studied how to make it sound like a vinyl record. Of course, there are many VSTs that emulate that effect and I actually use one of the more popular ones on here in the mix bus and on other busses, BUT, I didn't spam it and it's effect actually turned down quite a bit, mainly because I wanted to sample some of the records I had in my archive. So, I used it to mix real 60s samples with midi instruments!

Otherwise I used an old-style aural exciter on certain parts, and spring reverb, to really give it that retro mastering technique it needs.

For my next album I plan on not using multiband compression, even, but for now, this one used good old Maximus as usual, but with me really studying it to really deliver a 2000s-esque sound, especially in my uploads that will be coming later, of my other finalized tracks ;) Think of the mastering style like the in-between period in the 2000s where DAWs were around but real analog hardware was still used!
