"Mokant" comes with two driving, boomy and floor focused original techno tracks. The two tracks are rounded off with a hypnotic break, which appears exclusively on Bandcamp. The two excellent producers "Peryl" and "FLAWS" complete the release with two remixes. "Peryl" focuses on a detailed techno break and "FLAWS" presents his sound with a minimal, atmospheric vibe.

Young aspiring and driven artist "Maasym" was born in Giessen, near Frankfurt / Main. Influenced by an upbringing in 90’s Hip-Hop through his adolescence and a progression into Electronic Music during his teenage years, the Frankfurt techno scene beckoned for the home-grown talent. An increasing love for drone sounds, ethereal sound scapes and dark driving elements founded the basis of his foray into the electronic music sphere.

A constant love for experimenting; ever-growing and continues to influence his productions led him to discovering ambient and experimental music, of which has captivated his love for sound in the space and the craft of creating ever interesting ethereal backdrops to his finely tuned productions. Ever mental, consistently groovy and methodically hypnotic "Maasym" maintains his individuality in sound and forges a path on the pursuit for ever timeless productions, of which there are much more to come.

Working full time as a Graphic Designer back in the days, "Maasym" and his partner created the art and music imprint SOPTIK. The focus of the label is to strive to connect artists with each other, share their craftsmanship and to unite them in the final aim of providing a comprehensive project that can instill inspiration for the scene and provide a strong platform for talented individuals looking to express themselves in the areas of music and art. Keep an eye out for the driven, aspiring and original imprint, they’ve got a lot more coming.

Ylem: The old Hebrew word meaning something like "space between heaven and earth." If it's synthetic and sounds good then there's room for it here...

A dabbler in any artistic medium, 'The Half Artist's' eventual manifestation came after many names and many years of obsessively writing and recording half finished songs, sketches, poems and projects.

As his writing became more intricate and experimental, and less to the formula of songwriting, he soon found a new intriguing unknown where he could further grow, Poetry Slamming. This soon lead to the National Poetry Slam state finals, numerous other slam wins and frequent invitations to perform at spoken word events. He is now a well respected something or other in a world where they probably don't even know he makes music.

During this flourish of word nerding, he quietly penciled in all nighters and disgusting amounts of persistance to experiment, study and learn the art of Beatmaking, Sampling and Production.

WattHz Records is a label releasing electronic music pushing the envelope. With a sound branching out from the realm of dubstep, it had its beginnings as a regular club night in Perth, Australia.
