Results [YM2612 + SN76489]

Here's one of the two tracks I composed for Sonic 2 VS. 

I created this track around last year when I was learning to use various music editing features, such as modulation and panning, which I hadn’t fully explored before. Originally, I intended it for Oil Ocean Zone, but the energetic, athletic feel didn’t quite match the Arabian-inspired sound I was aiming for, so it ended up fitting Hill Top Zone much better.

I’m happy with how it turned out, though I plan to revisit it to fix a few things, particularly the volume balance and one of the lead instrument choices, which I feel could be improved.

Sonic 2 VS - Hill Top Zone 2P [YM2612 / Sega Mega Drive]

Here's one of the two tracks I composed for Sonic 2 VS.

Created this a month before its release and I'm glad I picked this track as The Ninja Warriors has an underrated soundtrack and this track freakin' slaps. This took me around a few days to finalize as I was getting used to SMPS porting by then (back then, it took me a week or so just so I could have a decent-sounding track) and I definitely poured my heart into this. There's a lot of modulation, heavy use of PSGs as the backing lead making the track a lot fuller (I thank Cinossu for giving me that tip :p) and better instrumentation as a whole. This fits Chemical Plant very well and I'm incredibly proud of how this track came out.
