Singer, songwriter, beat maker, producer from Wellington, New Zealand, now living in Oslo... 

A member of the extended Fly My Pretties band, featuring in the 2005 "Return of Fly My Pretties" shows and live recording. "Get Out" being one of the crowd favourites, was also re-recorded and featured on the first ever studio recordings album from FMP released in 2019. 

Toured Europe with Fat Fredddy's Drop in 2007 as a backing singer. 

Attended Red Bull Music Academy in Seattle, 2005 and Red Bull Music Academy's "A Class of it's Own" (alongside Theo Parrish, Mark Pritchard, Steve Spacek, Om'mas Keith, The Mizell Brothers, Black Spade, Andreya Triana, Julien Dyne...) in Cologne, 2007. It was here that Theo's "Chemistry" was recorded, with Adi playing guitar on the track. 

Started out as singer and guitar player for soul/rock/blues trio Stylus77, and has been part of many other live improvisational jam bands along with performing live solo, with looping pedals, beat beat machines and effects as a one-man-band.

Ngahere Toa (Matt Shortis) is The North Island of Aoteroa's hidden Gem. Known for melting Digital, Vinyl and Cassette together. Exploring how we can share music, connection and freedom on and off the dancefloor. Ngahere Toa will go blurring the lines between soundscape and the beat that connects us all, as he carves sonic pressure sculptures for all shapes and sizes.
