Here’s the recording of my DJ set from February 22nd at Ruigoord, Amsterdam! A huge thanks to everyone who came out to dance, it was an incredible good night and morning! I truly enjoyed every moment in the church. ✨

L’homme arrive vers lui et dit : « Suis-moi ! »

L’Amanche et l’inconnu avancent, ou plutôt s’élèvent, se dirigeant vers le monde d’en haut. Ils pénètrent dans un bâtiment que l’Amanche reconnaît immédiatement. Il y est déjà venu. Ce lieu renferme des millions de livres soigneusement conservés.
Un sage gardien s’approche, tenant un présent entre ses mains. Il tend les bras vers l’Amanche et lui passe autour du cou un collier, une simple ficelle ornée d’une clé.
« Maintenant, tu en as le droit », dit le sage.

L’autre homme pose une main sur l’épaule de l’Amanche, tandis que de l’autre, il désigne des piles de livres posées sur une table. Lorsque sa main passe au-dessus des couvertures, des noms apparaissent : Louis, Abraham, Nicolas, Jean… Il lève alors les yeux vers lui et, avec un sourire chaleureux, lui dit : « Ce n’est pas fini. »

En une fraction de seconde, l’Amanche se sent tomber, aspiré comme dans un tunnel sans fin. Il chute, traverse l’espace et le temps, avant d’atterrir au pied d’un immense arbre. Il reconnaît immédiatement l’endroit : c’est le monde d’en bas.
L’homme remplit une coupe d’un liquide doré qui s’écoule lentement de l’arbre. Il lui tend la coupe et dit avec douceur : « Tiens, bois, mon fils. »

L’Amanche s’abreuve de cette eau de vie. Une énergie intense s’éveille en lui, irradiant depuis son cœur d’une lueur verte. L’homme l’observe avec un amour infini.
L’énergie croît, s’intensifie, se répand. D’abord, elle enveloppe son corps tout entier, puis s’étend à la taille d’un village, d’une région, d’un pays, d’un continent… Elle embrasse la Terre entière, puis explose en un sursaut gamma, illuminant l’univers tout entier...

Dsompa, meaning "flowing together" in Tibetan, is the artistic endeavor of Philipp, a dedicated DJ and producer based in Hamburg, Germany.

Immersed in the enchanting world of electronic music since the late 90s, Dsompa found inspiration in the rich culture, art, and unique sounds of the psychedelic subculture. His musical journey took a pivotal turn in early 2007 when, spurred on by friends from the Ruigoord Community in Amsterdam, he delivered his inaugural DJ set in the transformed confines of a squatted church, now a dance-temple in Ruigoord.

The essence of Dsompa's sonic exploration is distilled from the lessons of his life and the profound experiences he has encountered. This amalgamation serves as the foundation for the captivating soundscapes he crafts for the dance floor. Rooted in the belief that life is an ever-evolving journey, Dsompa invites us to collectively shape a better future through the transformative power of music.
