Talk about a wild comeback to the latest edition of our infamous HAUSPARTY! We shut it down for two weeks, did some upgrades—new light installation, pumped-up sound system—and damn, the sold out crowd was nuts! Definitely one of the sweatiest nights in HAUSPARTY history.

The Canadian made international waves in 2021 with 'Sattva'; a record snapped up by the Vienna super-friends label Heimlich Musik that took the downtempo world by storm.

Now, premiering for the first time on You Plus One, Nathan cranks up the BPMs on his signature sound to unleash this 4-hit-combo onto dancefloors.

Embracing the Magic: ✨ Reflecting on a Spectacular Easter Weekend Show. As the sold-out crowd gathered, I sensed something special brewing. Little did I know, that night would surpass all expectations, marking one of my favorite performances of my 30-year career. 🔥 Perhaps it's the recent creative flow in the studio with Tiago de Renor and Pig&Dan, or the confidence boost from recent dream label signings. Maybe it's the returning warmth of the sun. Whatever the reason, it lead up to a set I hold very dear. And now, as the 22nd episode of HAUSPARTY, I'm thrilled to share this journey. Crafting a seamless blend of electronic genres has been a lifelong pursuit, weaving through diverse genres while maintaining cohesion. I live stream DJ sets every Tuesday (Breakdown Therapy) on Twitch.tv from 8pm - 9:30pm Pacific Time. Every session has paired VJ mixes using HalonVision, which is a custom built programmatically generative mixing system that creates a new and responsive experience each time it is turned on.

Melodic Dreams is now a monthly series streamed live the first weekend of the month on Twitch.tv. I record the session and the replay is available on YouTube and SoundCloud the following Monday morning.

🌴 Based in Riverside CA, past residences in San Diego CA, San Francisco CA and Dallas TX.

Starting out under the moniker DJ3 circa 1996, James Halon was a resident at Record Resource and played events in Denton and Dallas TX. Moving to San Francisco in 1999, James started weekly events with For The Music & helped found the music side of False Profit.

James ran the sound system for False Profit at 43 Norfolk and put on many amazing nights at the warehouse. He has also joined forces and played with many crews and venues, including Dub Beautiful, Ambient Airlines, Space Cowboys, B-Family, Eklektic, Future Breaks, Tenderloft, Tags Trance Trip, GrooveTech Radio, Anon Salon, Trust, Wish, Mighty SF, DNA Lounge, 1015 Folsom, and many more.

2004, James co-founded Cedub Studios and moved away from DJing to focus on production and engineering for local artists. During this time he helped create and launch Fake Science as a podcast, then expanded to online digital music distribution and A&R. He produced tracks under the Cell Culture act with Chris Walcott. He also produced tracks as The Clockmakers with DJ Yap, under the moniker DJ Bespoke.

In 2009, James moved from the Bay and headed to San Diego. After taking a longer than expected break to settle into his new home, James is built out his studio and has returned to producing and DJing. Starting in 2020, James began weekly live streams, featuring new, classic and original tracks focusing on all things House x Techno. In the summer of 2021, James was invited to become a resident of the San Diego based collective Digital Cocoon.

In the summer of 2022, James once again packed up and this time moved to Riverside, CA. There he has been able to expand his music studio and streaming rig, allowing him more time to write, produce and play music. He still regularly travels to San Diego to support and participate in Digital Cocoon events and other area shows.

Siavash is the mysterious Canadian legend behind the chart topping record label You Plus One. This eccentric artist is a 25+ year master DJ and an accredited innovator of the Northwest underground music scene. Born in Iran to deaf parents during the Islamic revolution, he emerged from a challenging past to build an impressive presence in the electronic music industry.


Siavash is an animated performer best known for being a musical journey-weaving wizard. He honed his brilliant technical skills during the vinyl-only days of the 90's. His unmistakable sound resembles his charming personality that draws so many to him: powerful, dirty, magnetic, and emotional. His original studio work has been signed to iconic labels such as Get Physical and Mobilee. Siavash’s critically acclaimed music has placed high on multiple Beatport Top 100 charts. In 2022 he also launched an ongoing collaborative project with techno pioneers Pig&Dan.


As label-boss of You Plus One, Siavash is very involved in the creative direction of each release. He handpicked the YPO roster which now boasts leading international talent including Rodriguez Jr., Oliver Schories, Super Flu, and Einmusik. With this label he’s ventured to help put Canada, especially the west coast, on the global dance music map. 


In addition to being the creative-architect behind successful brands and venues, including his own infamous underground afterhours, Siavash has carved a touring career with his addictive combo of style, soul, and stage presence. He has played regularly at top venues and festivals across the planet including Sisyphos (Berlin), Thuishaven (Amsterdam), BPM (Tulum), Lightning in a Bottle (LA), Club Space (NYC), and is currently an international resident at Latin America’s most legendary club, BarAmericas. Siavash continues to win hearts and gain a cult-like following wherever he’s heard around the world.
