I'm away from home on a vacation with my son. I brought a mandolin because it fits in the airplane overhead pretty easily. I decided to try "Ballad of Evermore" by Led Zeppelin for the first time. I played and sang the melody into the phone and then sang harmony. Very rough, but fun to try. It is hard to believe (but apparently true) that Jimmy Page made this up on the spot on John Paul Jones' mandolin that Page had never played before. One of the most iconic mandolin songs ever.
