DJ / Producer / web3, NFT, Tech Start-Up Community Mgmt & Dev 

Self taught since 2011 and  lifelong Jeremy Clarkson fan. Inspired by artists like Girltalk, White Panda, and Two Friends, I began my musical journey during the days of HypeMachine and Mashup Blogs. 

After several years as a live DJ in Washington DC, I performed at several houseparties and bars, until returning full time to the corporate world in 2017. 

In 2019, I had the pleasure of working in web3 for the first time under an NFT project by well known mash-up artist “White Panda.” 

Today, I continue to hone my skills and practice my love for mixing music, while also serving as a seasoned Community Manager and Developer on Discord, X, and other social media spaces for Web3, NFT, Crypto, and Tech Start-Ups. 

Unlike most DJs, I DO NOT USE A DAW PROGRAM (i.e. Ableton Live, Logic Pro, etc.) to generate or layer tracks into a mix. All my mixes are recorded live; in an era when so many use a DAW to prepare even full shows, I strive to be unique and keep it live. At time this makes my tracks a little imperfect, but nonetheless keeps me coming back to perfect my skills and remain creative. 

Bringing music to community-based projects has helped me increase membership and engagement. While at the same time, I’ve been called a human “Hype Machine” by several project leaders—I think that’s a good thing, right?

And if you’re wondering about the name (JeremyClarksonsSmugFace): no I’m not actually the famous journalist/petrol head turned farmer. 

Mr. Clarkson once said, “Sometimes my genius…, it generates gravity.”  He also said “I’m allergic to manual labor” and a lot of not so OK things off camera at times. But I still stand by his humor, musings and philosophical anecdotes. 

So don’t take everything too seriously, be true to yourself and common sense, make the best of life (even if you have “Diddly Squat.”), and remember: “the next time a farmer moans about the weather…, put your arm around him and buy him a pint.” (J. Clarkson, “Clarkson’s Farm” Season 1, Episode 8).
