Deep into the summer season, ICONYC Red is excited to present an electric new outing by rising powerhouse Jil Tanner, complete with two showstopping remixes, courtesy of Berlin-based stalwart Kaizer Souzai, and Swede maestro Mikael Nykvist under his Absorb Projects alias.
 
Bash and bold, “About Last Night” holds no prisoners down with its unbridled groove and savage low-end dynamics as it expertly intertwines exquisite synthetic effects that tingle the senses. As it meanders down to a spacious breakdown where pulsating blips melt into a surging arpeggio before it latches on to Jil Tanner’s gargantuan construct, “About Last Night” truly comes into its own, with an arsenal ready to damage dancefloors worldwide.
 
Delivering our first rework, frequent collaborator Kaiser Souzai amps the ante with a skitterish remix that injects a powerful dose of adrenaline into Jil Tanner’s “About Last Night”. Riding on the tail of a restless frame, Kaiser Souzai reimagines “About Last Night” as a blistering rollercoaster that ebbs and flows with enviable ease while never taking the foot of the gas.
 
Wrapping up this phenomenal outing, it's Mikael Nykvist’s Absorb Projects that takes point and center with a monumental take on “About Last Night”. Towering tall, Absorb Projects reconfigures Jil Tanner’s juiced-up cut into a state-of-the-art weapon that showcases the Swedish artist’s metier for captivating storytelling.

With 'Gold Soul' we welcome Ivan Berkowitz & Matiso to NYLO Lab. The duo developed a universally loved unique style; dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival. Their releases have always received high acclaim - with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music. 

To open the release, Ivan & Matiso drop the wonderful 'Gold Soul'. A track full of deep harmonious vibes, as they guide us through the atmospheric vibe, while the arrangement keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds. 'Gold Soul' conveys a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding elements, capped off by the deep groove. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The groove and melodies are the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. 

The first remix of 'Gold Soul' comes courtesy of Absorb Projects. The Scandinavian artist reshapes the original elements into something deeper and more melodic spacious sounding. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. The main break shifts the narrative into more emotive territory but the dance floor sensibility remains, with muted beats and percussive clusters building towards a tasteful drop. Superb rework from Absorb Projects. 

The second rework of 'Gold Soul' comes courtesy of Berlin legend Kaiser Souzai who delivers a classy indie dance track with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown to get you moving. It's all about the groove, cool house vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Irene's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. 'Essential stuff'!

With 'Gold Soul' Ivan Berkowitz & Matiso really show that there're no boundaries, as his beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments!
