Opening set for ACODJ SEASON 14 Grad Fest.

Originally, when ACODJ reached out to me for an opening set for Season 14 Grad Fest, I was originally putting together a “cool house set." 
I changed my mind when I saw DJ Koco live at his LA debut [instagram: @djkocoakashimokita]. You should have seen the man – sweaty AF, spinning all 7" vinyl, beat juggling, playing the obscure samples we recognized from popular Hip Hop. This dude blew my mind! 

From there, I knew I had to put together a vinyl set.

And so, I prepared an all-vinyl set for grad (shoutout Google Sheets). The day of Season 14 grad, we ended up having to use the Pioneer 1000SRT, but fortunately I digitized my set and played the set as is.

I wanted to clean it up a bit before uploading, so I re-recorded my set yesterday so that I can archive this mix. After all these years calling myself a DJ, I'm just glad to say that I was finally able to put together a cohesive vinyl set. 

My intention was to DJ an all-vinyl set that the friends and family of the graduates could recognize and jam too.
