Iron Maiden - Aces High

As (to be heard in a upcoming) guide video, a cover of Iron Maiden's "Aces High", recorded over eight months ago and recently remixed and mastered to the same quality and soundscape that I achieved in the process of mixing and mastering the Hardwired cover. 

And yes, this is the ninth finial mix that I auditioned through my crappy laptop speakers, crappy phone in-ear headphones and my car speakers, and this one I settled on because the first pass mix had the bass too loud, rhythm guitars too washy (from an abuse of reverb plugins) and the lead guitar track was just abit too loud and it caused the other instruments to be drowned out in a undesirable way. 

This mix took better control over the guitars (less reverb overall), punched up the high-end of the bass while bringing its overall volume in-line with the rhythm guitars and pulling down the lead just enough so that the entire mix during that section sounds nice and clear.

Rhythm Guitar: Rebuilt Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus (GFS Alnico II Classics)

Lead Guitar: Jackson DXMG Dinky (Cali-Guitar Melt-Bucker/Mega Drive)

Bass: Ibanez SoundGear SR-305 (Stock PUs, Tone Monster Active Electronics)

All guitar and bass sounds recorded through a BOSS GT-100 Floor Processor. 

Drums: Superior Drummer 2 (NY Avatar/Metal Foundry)
