This is a quick demo of my synth arrange for Michael Nyman's Love Theme for the sci-fi survival horror video game ENEMY ZERO, designed by Kenji Eno. ENEMY ZERO was the second installment in Kenji Eno's D trilogy of video games, starting with D, and ending with D2.

Michael Nyman is most famous for the soundtrack which he wrote and arranged for the live-action movie The Piano. A few years after the release of The Piano, he was hired by Kenji Eno to write the soundtrack for ENEMY ZERO after a chance meeting.

The Love Theme for ENEMY ZERO, as of now, may be one of my favourite instrumental chamber tracks to be ever written for a video game. It was beautifully written with an easy-going waltz rhythm and a simple yet memorable chord progression and melody.

Love Theme from ENEMY ZERO (Demo)

I am a pianist and composer writing music for vocalists searching for a song, game- and film music. I compose pieces in all genres from  jazz, latin, fusion, prog-rock, electronic to classical and more. All my uploads are original compositions - written, performed & recorded by myself in my very basic home studio setup based on Studio One software and a Yamaha workstation.

Wer hier "moderne" Musik erwartet oder gar einfordert, muss sie anderen Ortes suchen. Ich fühle mich ganz und gar der romantischen Musikausrichtung des 19. Jahrhunderts verpflichtet und versuche ihr wieder Leben einzuhauchen.

I see myself in the continuation of classical traditions and try to create music in the style of romantic composers of the 19. century. So I regret to let miss any modern style or understanding of present tastes... look for them please at other places.

Among the musicians who walk beside me and guide my steps are J.S. Bach, John Williams, Paul Simon, Carlos Jobim, and many others. Their presence is like a hand reaching out, leading me toward melodies yet to be found.

I discover themes on my daughter’s piano, through my guitar, or simply while dreaming. Each note is a meeting, each harmony a breath.

I do not use artificial intelligence to compose — only, at times, to find beautiful images that accompany my music.
