A Tribute To The Greats - Moments of Collective Nostalgia

MY FIRST EVER VINYL ONLY DISCO SET: The idea for this mix was born when I played in a club in Stuttgart for my girlfriend's birthday. The premise was DISCO in capital letters! For she definitely is a Disco Lady! 
As the roof blew off and the crowd went nuts, my girlfriend asked me, why the hell I hadn't recorded the set live. 
So I ended up re-recording it from memory and making it an X-Mas present for her.
Well, here is the result: a nearly 3 hours set exploring the many shades of Disco Music from rare Edits to Afro Boogie and Disco House... 
I hope you like it as much as she does.

Come for the Boaba beats with Kieka drops & stay to shake some ass!

The name sounds foreign but their sound will make you feel right at home.  These two beat lovers speak the language of groove. 

Their name was derived from a psychological phenomenon (the Bouba-Kiki effect) that demonstrates the relationship between sound and shapes.  With Bouba typically being associated with a rounded shape and Kiki with a spikey shape.  This effect is used to explore how we perceive and categorise sound and visuals, providing the natural tendency to associate certain phonetic qualities with visual traits. 

Boaba Kieka is known to shape their sound accordingly, crafting sets that are both groovy and soulful as well as edgy and fiercely funky.  Their heart lies in Afro but they are versatile in catering to both the crowd and event and love to lean into their deeper funk side of fun, creating House and Tech sets that are deliciously bouncy and more-ish.  No matter what, there will be a tasteful blend of beats and drops with catchy vocals infused with deep-driving basslines that will bring an electrifying energy to the dancefloor. 

It’s a sound impossible not to move to.

I collect records and share the love through my vinyl only sets!

Heincha (aka neon b.) has been a purveyor of fine and groovy dance music since the mid 90′s, growing up and getting into DJ-ing simultaneously with explosion of the rave scene in Latvia. Since that time his journey into the world of dance music has led him through such stylistic benchmarks as Detroit, techno, minimal, deep- and tech-house, funk, breaks, electroclash among others. Currently Heincha’s is up to deep and cosmic yet funky vibes - be that disco, house, techno, acid or 80's synth music. Sometimes he prefers taking a rather eclectic path, considering that all the technical categories become meaningless in front of music that evokes emotional or intellectual response.
Although Heincha currently resides in Luxemburg, he still has strong ties with the electronic dance music scene in Latvia and can be regularly seen DJing there. Apart from digging and mixing up other producers' records, Heincha enjoys making his own rhythms and beats. He is also a writing contributor to various indie culture and music magazines.

Her mashups have charted on Hypeddit, gaining support from radio shows worldwide. She hosts events in Atlanta, including her signature event, Wahine’s Hideaway, featuring international guests like Dicky Trisco, Fran Deeper and The Funk District.

Wahine has supported renowned artists Crazy P, DJ Sneak, Lego, Nickodemus, Moodena, Richard Earnshaw, Captain Planet, Hotmood, Dicky Trisco, and DJ Disciple at events in Los Angeles, Atlanta, London, and Amsterdam. Her radio show has featured guests such as The Reflex, Aroop Roy, and The Patchouli Brothers.

Described as “Disco in Paradise,” her sound is sundrenched and full of global influences. Funky licks are spiced with percussive jams. Equal parts brains and brawn with every beat telling a story of rhythm and roots.

Trained in a dozen world dance forms, Wahine is known to spend her last track on the dancefloor in communion with her fellow dancers.
