05:00 The Mind Body Connection
Understand how rowing is "in your head" and how to connect this to what your body does.
Ingrained movement habits are hard to change especially as you get older.
Move more lightly, freely and less movements creating tension.
06:00 The origins of the Alexander Technique
Pulling your neck forwards and downwards creates tension in the rowing stroke.
Feel how the dynamic opposition of one part of the body connects or separates from another part.
Using your body changes through the rowing stroke. In the power phase the spine lengthens and changes at the finish before lengthening again on the recovery.
The perspective is novel - indoor and outdoor rowing combined with Alexander Technique and Tai Chi. Learn from the inside rather than copying someone else from the outside.
10:00 There's a sequence in the feet - pushing off the balls of your feet causes calves to tighten and then after your heels are down and the stroke finishes, people lift the balls of their feet again. That's why they strap in their feet tightly.
The basic dynamic is through the feet - the inside of your heels means you access the whole of your foot arch, this gives you the power you need to perform rowing while sitting dynamically. 
11.45 The benefits of AT and teaching rowing
It gives you more awareness of when you're using more effort than necessary. Engage in the journey yourself because you cannot teach what you do not know. You can get results without all the effort.
Encourage your athletes not to strap in your feet from the beginning. How to hold the handle without gripping (creates tight wrists and shoulders). 
When you understand about how to control the blades in the water - feather into your fingers - you can use your fingers on the indoor rower in the same way.
15:30 Using AT principles
The key to coordination is the relationship between the neck, the head and the back. If your neck stiffens it creates spinal compression and tension. Our habits feel comfortable.
Come to a state of quiet to help the body to organise itself. Learn to do less in order to achieve more.
At the start of the drive the connection comes from the feet, then moves into the legs / hips / back and into the arms. As the recovery begins the pelvis takes the energy into the arms and body.

20:00 The book is very clear on how you teach. When Jonathan is on the rowing machine he views each stroke as a potentially new experience. Use them as an opportunity to be constantly refining and improving your movement patterns. It's never too late to make improvements.

Love wide range of music. House, Deep House, Electro, Tech House, Techno, Trance, Hip Hop, just to name a few.... Produce songs, remix songs and develop new sound. Keep an open mind and embrace music and all it has to offer. 

Bio? This is where I'm supposed to tell you about my world wide gigs and A list collaborations. To me, music has always been about the music and not myself. The dj is the conduit to bring or enhance that musical experience to you. For me it's always been about my passion for music and the way it makes us all feel. I have a simple philosophy that I love music and enjoy mixing and producing tunes and hope people enjoy them too. That's it!
 
Okay, guess I need to give you a little background.... Grew up in Chicago in the early 70's and 80's and was in the right place at the right time to see the birth of house music by some of Chicago's best innovators. I personally got started as a dj in the mid 80's and have appeared at multiple venues over the years, as well as featured on multiple radio shows around the world.  My love will always be vinyl and still believe newer dj's should learn the craft the "old fashioned" way however, will admit that I have been slowly moving towards a lot of the newer technology.

Rocking the decks at a young age, DJ TOMMY "T" has captivated dance floors across the globe with his unique style of mixing.
Born in Queens, and growing up on the outskirts of New York City, Tommy listened to an array of different musical genres from “Rock” to “New Wave” to “Hip-Hop” to “Freestyle” and to the underground sounds of “Club Music”.
It was at the age of thirteen when Tommy was first introduced to the “Club Scene”, his older friends who were already clubbin’ had turned him on to the one sound that perhaps paved the way for him in ways he’d yet to realize. 
The DJ bug hadn't bitten into Tommy just yet, for a while he'd had his hand in other aspects of the music industry, working in Promotions and as Road Management/Artist Development with Def Jam, Warner Brothers, & Sony, as well as the likes of various artists such as, Bad Boy Bill, C&C Music Factory (Ft. Freedom Williams),Nadine Renée (Of: Planet Soul) & Billie Ray Martin to name a few.
It wasn’t until after several years of clubbing and going to house parties with fellow DJ Friends, that Tommy started to realize his calling and figured he could do it better than some of the stuff he was listening to.
From then on Tommy has been addicted.
"It was all a fluke, I used to enjoy the music and never had aspirations of dee-jaying until I wanted to hear music a certain way and I said I could do it better than the next guy".
DJ's such as David Morales, "BABY" Hec Romero, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, & Little Louie Vega were all influences in the Tommy "T" sound you hear today.  As time progressed Tommy became infatuated with the Chicago House scene. This was the extra added ingredient to his special style. 
"Going to Chicago is like being in school, the talent out there is first class and the experience and knowledge you gain from everyone is golden"
Being a big fan of classics such as the Sal Soul Era, Tommy has been able to incorporate that musical knowledge into his sets. 
Always looking for the next level to climb Tommy joined long time friend Roger Sanchez on tour to over see things and help out. This was the golden opportunity for Tommy, as he likes to call it:
"S.O.S." School Of Sanchez.
Tommy enhanced his mixing skills and programming by learning from the best.
"This was an opportunity that I was blessed with, I learned alot".
The Tommy "T" sound is very across the board, it’s Chunky, sexy, tribal, & deep with an edge of Techno. Tommy keeps it across the board so that you want more.
Tommy "T" has continued sharing his DJ skills to crowds from all over the world from various segments on AREA 33 SIRIUS RADIO to GROOVE RADIO to various other stations as well as DJ’ing in such great places as Colombia, South America, Canada and the U.S.A.
Tommy is not just limited to spinning house, he’s also has held down various hip hop residencies in NYC, among other dance music type genres as well. 
Tommy "T" feels that it is important to educate the crowd and take the party to the next level.
"I always vibe off the way the crowd reacts and then kick it up 100% giving them that extra edge of excitement.
Currently Tommy "T" is touring and keeping busy in the studio working on making the people dance!!

Bio : Irish techno producer Simon Foran has put a lot of hard work into learning the art and science of sound and music technology; his studies have included spending two years honing his craft under the mentorship of Will Kinsella (Hybrasil) (Kombination Research, Loose Records, Bush Records).  
 
Since dropping his debut EP: “Nexus” on Dream Mode in November 2014, Simon has followed up with 2015’s “Daumenatron”, and 2016’s "Etymology" both on Dewing Records. Simon rounded off 2016 with his acclaimed "Cybersex" EP on Portugal’s Toxic Recordings, charting at number 6 in the Beatport top 100 releases. 

Not one to rest on his laurels, Foran is constantly in the studio pushing his boundaries with a distinct ear for detail. He has been moulding his dark melodic sound, a sound he showcases on his latest two track EP: Nihilus.
