Roskill Sth is a dynamic four-piece band who have been together for around a year with a style that is loosely based on the alt-rock / alt-folk genre. While their sound is rooted in original music, it’s their connection as friends that truly drives their creative process. The group is made up of Stephen Price (guitars), Peter Brebner on (vocals / harmonica), Matt Barnett on (bass guitar / backing vocals), and Steve Cotter (drums). 
The band’s journey began organically, with a shared passion for music and a mutual respect for each other’s talents. Their friendship extends beyond the stage, and that closeness shines through in the way they jam together. Roskill Sth thrives on collaboration, with each member bringing their own flavour to the mix, blending gritty rock with earthy folk elements.
In their short time together, they’ve already laid down a couple of tracks capturing the energy and emotion that defines their music.

Lantern Song is nostalgic folk tune about a journey through a dark forest with only candle light and the stars as a guide. It brings the listener back to the fundamental rhythm of nature and weaves together themes of hope, change and loss. The story starts with a childhood tradition of making lanterns from glass jars and tissue paper and going for a walk on a November night. We would sing lantern songs, that celebrated the defeat of darkness by our light. I decided to write a lantern song own.

Introducing Taff Rapids, Cardiff’s bluegrass sensation taking the international stage by storm. Comprising seasoned musicians Darren Eedens, Sion Russell Jones, David Grubb, and Clem Saynor, the band blends traditional bluegrass classics with captivating originals, incorporating Welsh-language songs for a unique global appeal.

 

In 2023, they were invited to the IBMA World of Bluegrass Showcase in Raleigh, NC, USA, the first welsh group to receive such an invitation. UK, European, and Canadian tours followed throughout 2024, and a ticket to Folk Alliance International 2025 highlights their growing demand and undeniable talent. With electrifying performances, rich harmonies, and unmatched instrumental prowess, Taff Rapids is set to become a powerhouse in bluegrass and beyond.

Lounna is the indie-folk musical project by Pittsburgh songwriter and producer Brenna Slate. Inspired by modern artists that range from Bear’s Den to Gregory Alan Isakov to boygenius, Slate’s songwriting combines elements of indie, folk, alternative, and americana genres that seamlessly shift from soft sonic scapes to captivating indie rock ballads. Lounna is entering into a new era with the anticipated arrival of her sophomore record with songs portraying mental health, difficult life circumstances, and lessons learned while simultaneously highlighting what it means to remain hopeful even amidst the darkness.

In January 2024, Lounna postponed the release of her sophomore record when her husband was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma. In lei of the full project, she released the highly reviewed single 'Peak Season', which was deemed the harbinger of the full record to come. If the song acts as a harbinger of the record, then the thoughtful and high reviews of the song foreshadow what the full record has in store for its listeners. “‘Peak Season’ carries melancholy, yet it is also filled with incredible energy, like a beam of light in a dark room. ...tender vocals, textured harmonies, and light arrangement blend together to form a gentle blanket of sound. The vibrant development of the track, makes [this] an anthem of the impending spring and victory over melancholy and slumber” (Indie Boulevard). Now that Slate's [Lounna's] husband is finished with cancer treatment, her most recent singles 'Alpenglow' and ‘Under the Same Stars (ft. Reliable Child)’ are the first official releases from Lounna's sophomore record, Garden For Winter, which will be released in full on January 31st, 2025.

~ Warm, vibrant Indie Folk-Pop meets vintage soft prog rock ~

  “Lights of Egan” are an independent singer-songwriter duo, made up of Cameron DeVries and Ira Denis, who blend intimate, soaring indie folk-pop with vintage soft prog rock.  Relying on earnest, heartfelt lyrics, soulful melodies, and expansive soundscapes, this music is warm, uplifting, and sincere; with songs that cut right to the soul of things, bringing listeners into territories of wonder, joy, and emotional warmth & depth.  This is music written to express authentic feelings, to bring the heart back to life, and to reach places within where old wounds can be revitalized ~ where broken places can be renewed.

 The music of Lights of Egan has been described as “Donovan meets Cat Stevens”, and “like a mix of some prog rock bands from the 70s, such as Caravan, and some indy bands like Field Report.”  Listeners have called it “ethereal”; and, a “70s throwback sound in a good way”.  
 
  Ira and Cameron met through SongTown.com in 2023, and immediately formed a connection through music.  They shared a lot of musical common ground, and had similar inclinations in the style of music they wanted to make.  The collaboration started when Ira answered Cameron’s post in a co-writing forum on SongTown.com, where he was looking for co-writers.  Ira shared some lyrics, and Cameron almost immediately began working to put the lyrics of one of Ira’s song ideas to music.  

  After their first song was done, they began working on another song together; and, after the second song was done, they later started working on a third song, and then a fourth.  After beginning to record the songs they’d written together, they settled upon the project name “Lights of Egan”, meant to reflect the earnest, heartfelt, and inspired nature of the songs.  Ultimately, Ira and Cameron feel that the songs they’ve written together are some of the best work each of them have done in their songwriting careers.  

  We are releasing our first single in early 2025.

Bewitching vocal powerhouse & songwriter Victoria Faiella has traveled the world writing, recording & performing music with a noteworthy stint as background vocalist for Latin Superstar Enrique Iglesias. Her recently released CD "Wild Butterfly" has already garnered critical acclaim for it's eclectic style that elegantly intertwines string quartet arrangements with rock, world, alternative pop, soul & folk elements. The record includes a Middle Eastern styled reinvention of Black Sabbath's perennial anthem "War Pigs" that some have hailed as "Brilliant", "Timely", "Epic" & "Ingenious!" Whether she’s lamenting the despairs of war or soulfully whispering over string ensemble and piano, Faiella’s beautiful and honest voice delivers equal intensity with a style and sound uniquely her own & equally as spellbinding.

Bríd Lyons is a Kilkenny born singer, songwriter and folk musician. Her acoustic sound is paired well with poetic lyrics that conjure images of nature and the human experience. Her work is influenced by artists such as Hozier, Lisa Hannigan, Saint Sister and Anna Mieke. Bríd’s sound is Celtic and ethereal, and features everything from soaring a capella vocals to rhythmically complex acoustic arrangements. In the past eighteen months, she has been selected as one of the KCLR representatives in the Hot Press Local Hero Talent Search and has played a number of prestigious gigs such as the Ruby Sessions and Whelan's Ones to Watch. Bríd has also supported Irish folk giants such as Lisa O’Neill, Rónán Ó’Snodaigh and Myles O’Reilly at the beautiful St. Canice’s Cathedral and also opened for Jerry Fish at Kilkenny Day 2021. 

Bríd has been honing her craft as a composer and performer for the past 8 years, working both on her own and with other projects. Her single, 'October', which was released in late 2021, saw her delve fully into a solo venture. Bríd's second single, 'Mother', was released on November 10th 2022 and a gig was held in the famous Cobblestone venue to celebrate the launch. Mother was also awarded as The Circle Sessions Song Of The Year for 2022. 'I Must Go' was released on April 7th and was the third single from her debut EP, ‘Tied To The Turf’. Following the EP release on May 5th, Bríd embarked on a successful Irish co-headline tour with fellow songwriter, Luke Clerkin.

Hannah Wood is a Bristol vocalist and songwriter who draws influences from folk, soul and pop to create dreamy, sometimes haunting, sounds. Melancholic vocals and introspective lyrics mirror and bring comfort to our shared struggles. 

She crafted her sound on the Bristol music scene and has played at popular venues such as The Canteen, The Fleece and The Louisiana. Collaborating with local musicians and often singing with her sister, she brings an intimate air to any performance.
