A memory I hold dear while living in my first apartment in Georgetown Texas. At the time I had an old Kurzweil keyboard and was really just beginning my musical journey. This sweet old lady who lived below me one day invited me in and she had an old upright, and she showed me Amazing Grace, all on the black keys, my fingers never forgot, as the years have soared I've messed around with it, adding some extra flare and arpeggio style to it, with getting better with practice and just developing my style. Lately I've been playing it more and singing to it which I haven't done a lot of with it, I've usually always just played the melody. My wonderful parents came by today to visit and I sang it for them and my Dad recorded it on his phone. It's definitely one raw recording but it gives it something special. I was singing in a mic hooked up to my Peavey KB100 from the 80's, its what I enjoy practicing with, while playing my old Baldwin piano my Mamaw Polly gave to me. I do plan on doing another recording using my normal recording equipment like most of my songs are done with, but wanted to share this.  I hope this blesses you out there. What an amazing song this is, written in 1772, by John Newton. The most famous hymn of all time.  So thankful for His Amazing Grace!! The praise God over and over at the end I got from my Mom which she has always done...it's beautiful, oh what praise He deserves, everyday, for HIs amazing grace, His unmerited favor towards us. I know my piano needs tuned but aint gonna stop me from playin. Thanks for listening!

Update 3/22/26 - 🎹 Baldwin is getting tuned today😄 I'll be dropping songs soon. I have lots to record, new and older songs. I've been taking a break from SC and bout to be getting back in the swing. 

Hey! Thanks for stopping by!:) All recordings done on my old Baldwin piano that my amazingly talented grandma gave me. I'd like to think it holds some magic. All original songs, recorded live. I took a few years of classical lessons when I was very young. Fond memories bicycling down E. Brown street to my lessons. Dearest Faye...sweetest teacher ever. 

Throughout the years I'd always tinker on my Mom's old 1900 Ludwig piano through passing, playing songs I had learned, like Fur Elise and The Spinning Song, but it wasn't till I was in college when I fell in love with those keys. There was an old upright in the student center that I'd sneak off to late at night, I needed an outlet, and ever since then the playing has never stopped, and it never will. I never knew I could even make up melodies, let alone write a song. What a therapy it has been over the years, expressing myself through experiences, a forever believer, and feelings of the hopeless romantic in me. Time alone definitely had its advantages over the years. God is good! I'm so thankful. All that really matters in life is where we spend eternity. I hope to connect with many and make new friends. Hope you enjoy the songs!:)
