This track started with a guitar sample I made years ago while experimenting with pitch-shifting on the Eventide H9. Despite its quirky time signature and key changes, I’ve always wanted to give it life. Layered with synth arps mimicking the original line, plus my mallet section - music box, vibraphone, and glockenspiel - it came together with a deep sub, lush pads, heavy reverb, and a touch of RC-20 warble and noise. There’s something hypnotic about it that makes me want to listen on repeat.

Spring Dreams

"Sunset Serenade" - a melodic indie rock journey featuring emotive Gibson electric guitar lines in B minor. This modern take on romantic ballads blends smooth electronic drums with subtle synth bass and ambient pads. The melody captures that bittersweet moment when day meets night, mirroring the sunset beach imagery of the cover art. An instrumental conversation between melancholy and hope, where each guitar note tells its own story against the fading light.

Sunset Serenade

This track began as an experiment with a single timestretched recording. From that, I extracted one sample to craft all the percussive elements and the looping sound that sets the tone at the beginning. This became the foundation for the guitar layers that followed. It’s a completely different approach from my usual workflow, but I loved the process. I hope you like the result!
