SARA’S GRACE&nbsp;takes from two rich traditions in American music: the boogie-woogie style that predated jazz, and the spiritual hymn. Growing up in the South, both of these languages became part of my music ‘family-tree’.

The work makes an attempt to fuse the joy of both musical styles through an infusion of boogie woogie to elements of “Amazing Grace.” The vocal text comes entirely from the first verse of “Amazing Grace”. However, the words have been reordered, giving a different context that still celebrates the sacredness of the song.

This work is dedicated to the memory of Sara Lewis, a visual artist who loved to play with the context of found objects in her work. Special thanks goes to David Alan Miller of the Dogs of Desire for the opportunity to write this piece as part of Common Sense Composers’ Collective 6th Collaboration Project.

My song, It's Time to Unite, is a powerful call to bridge divides and celebrate commonalities across cultures and communities. Set against a country backdrop, it weaves stories from honky-tonk bars in Nashville to rooftop gatherings in LA, emphasizing that despite our differences, we share universal experiences of joy, pain, and resilience. The song explores themes of unity, understanding, and hope, encouraging listeners to look beyond cultural and societal divides, as highlighted in the lines, "We fight culture wars and try to cast the blame, thinking we’re different but we bleed the same."

Burning Horizon by aZzma is a haunting fusion of American pop, grunge, rock, darkcore, and shoegaze, delivering a powerful anthem of heartbreak and hope. Through evocative lyrics and a raw, emotional performance, the song captures the devastating reality of California's wildfires. It paints vivid scenes of nature's fury, communities shattered, and a planet in distress, all while carrying a fragile but undeniable hope for renewal.

This track is more than music; it’s a poignant tribute to those affected by the fires and a rallying cry for unity and action. With its mesmerizing layers and profound message, Burning Horizon reaches out to listeners worldwide, resonating with anyone who has faced loss and dreams of a better tomorrow.

C'est une pièce que je travaille parfois avec des élèves qui apprécient l'originalité, que j'aime beaucoup aussi. Il y a trois prises de sons successives non pro. (de la 3e à la 1ère), tout y est presque pareil à part quelques petits détails. Il n'y pas d'indications de tempo et cette fois je me focalise sur la répétition rythmique. Ceci dit Moondog n'a pas trop d'affinité avec la musique répétitive (influencé par la musique amérindienne, le jazz, le classique) et la pièce peut être jouée différemment ou plus lentement.

BIOGRAPHY:

David Fernando Bossio (Barranquilla, 6 de agosto de 1998), conocido como Bossi, es un DJ con más de 10 años de experiencia en música electrónica. Inició su carrera en 2018 con el género EDM, debutando en el Color Fest Malambo y participando en eventos en Elektra Club y Elite Matin. En 2019, se presentó en San Cristóbal, Bolívar, y Fundación, Magdalena, y obtuvo su primera residencia en Victoria Club. Tras formarse como DJ profesional en DNA Music, Bossi regresó a la escena en 2021 en discotecas como Legacy y Rose Cocktails. En 2022, se adentró en el subgénero Circuit, tocando en Lives Megaclub, Patio Barranquilla, y actualmente en Phuket, donde actualmente es DJ residente.
