Covering this song to further develop Appalachian Emo, this song's lyrics hit close to home (pun intended, listen to the song) for me right now. I miss times that were had growing up, and where I grew up, but I can't go back, in any meaning of the phrase.
Coming back to your hometown when you've been gone for years is a surreal experience, seeing how it's moved on without you, and you have without it.
