A brisk instrumental version of the well-known Irish traditional with my Alba high Tin Whistle as the lead instrument.

This is a recording I did in 2023 with my BOSS BR-600 digital recorder for practicing the whistle.

I found the audio files today in my unfinished projects and decided to mix it properly and add some bass and percussion.

I just finished playing through the new chapters and liked this piece. It as difficult to hear the 3 different voices in the piano pattern, but I think I was pretty close. I made this with Ardour, using Zynaddsubfx for the 8-bit voices, orchestra samples from the Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra SFZ collection and VSCO2-CE, and the voice samples from the Vowel Ensemble SFZ collection.
