Eine Kleine Bot Musik is an exploration of feedback loops using an Arduino UNO that communicates to Ableton live via Max for Live. Each iteration of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik controls the behavior of two robots, which together interact with a set of sensors. The eventual destruction of the sonic material is due to the method in which the robots were programmed using an unknown feedback algorithm that caused them to effect their own behavior. Only when the original sonic material was found to be unrecognizable was the album complete.

This is a strange one.  Maybe a first.  Besides music I write code for microprocessors and IoT devices. Was working on a project coding this weekend and thought, what the heck. In place of lyrics why not my computer code?  Here is the strange result. Anyone else out there a tech person? Let's start a trend!

La pieza es un loop infinito, no termina. Es solo un fragmento, amplificado, como documentación. 

Aquí el texto original que compartí a principios de el 2025:

Esta pieza comenzó de imaginar cómo suena el flujo de medicina por mis venas.

De años observando mis venas mientras me inyectaban, o me inyectaba, y ver similitudes entre esas estructuras con los ríos, con las raíces de los árboles.
También surgió de cuestionar las reglas: tanto de lo que es “música” como de lo que es “correcto”.

Río.generaFlujo() es un programa para Arduino/ composición / pieza sonora - que, más que dar respuestas, genera preguntas.

Este programa para Arduino consume datos geográficos del río Santa Catarina, los revuelve y selecciona aleatoriamente puntos (latitud y longitud). Estos se normalizan y alimentan hasta cuatro osciladores a la vez. Esa “sonificación” genera un flujo que suena como agua, pero también como bichos, como grabaciones de campo, como vida.

La máquina también guarda memorias. Tocar el sensor unido a la jeringa hace que se registren configuraciones de osciladores. Así la pieza alterna entre curvas nuevas y recuerdos. Flujo e interacción. Movimiento y memoria.

En esta máquina encontré una forma de nombrar cómo entiendo mi cuerpo y mi vida hoy: como una red de sistemas interconectados que se alimentan del contacto, que escuchan, que recuerdan. Para mí hoy, vivir no es controlar ni clasificar, sino rendirme ante ese flujo infinito que es estar vivo, aprendiendo de cada interacción antes de que se acabe mi batería.
