Coronardefekt is an electronic music project from Halle (Saale), Germany, that has been developing the connection between sound, technology, and emotion since the early 1990s.

My journey began in 1992, when a fascination with electronic sound generation and synthesizers laid the foundation for everything that followed. Influenced by Depeche Mode, Front 242, Delerium, Front Line Assembly, Dead Can Dance, and many others, I began creating my own sonic worlds – dark, driving, and emotional.

My music moves freely between Electro, House, EBM, Hip-Hop, and experimental sound structures – everything that inspires, excites, and moves me. I produce with a variety of synthesizers and analog sound sources – including the Yamaha MOXF6, Microkorg-S, Deepmind 12, Arturia Microbrute, Yamaha DX7, and Behringer TD-3-BU – with Ableton Live as the creative hub.

Each track is created with a focus on atmosphere, texture, and emotion – an expression of my personal sound journey. So far, all releases have remained private, but the essence lies in the creative process itself: sound research, sound design, and the pure joy of electronic music.

I don’t see myself as a product, but as an ongoing experiment – a project that grows, transforms, and continually redefines itself.

Mirko "DJ Argento" Claudio, barese classe 1978, da sempre circondato di musica per merito della sua famiglia, si avvicina al mondo del djing nel 1990 circa. 
Inizialmente attratto dall'arte dello scratch, approfondisce il suo percorso musicale andando a ritroso nel tempo, cominciando anche a collezionare vinili di black music dal jazz al funk, dal rap anni '70-'80, passando per soundtracks di varia natura, specie di film horror di cui è stato avido divoratore sin da tenera età (da qui il nome "Argento", tributo al famoso regista romano). 
Appassionato di hip hop in ogni sua disciplina sviluppa parallelamente una forte attrazione per il writing, che coltiverà dal '94 fino al ’99 circa, anno in cui diventa per merito dell'amico scomparso Loop 5, anche un beatmaker. 
Il suo bagaglio musicale come dj e collezionista ben presto si rivelerà fonte di ispirazione per la composizione dei suoi lavori. 
Produce molti rapper suoi concittadini, fino ad uscire dai confini della sua regione per musicare sui progetti di Turi, Colle Der Fomento, Kiave, Clementino, Inoki, Banana Spliff, Gente De Borgata, Er Costa, Don Diegoh e, non per ultimo, la leggenda del rap italiano Kaos One, che lo vorrà su "kARMA" (2007) e con cui successivamente firmerà il singolo "Le 2 Metà", oltre a gran parte delle musiche presenti in "Post Scripta" (2011). 
Costantemente attivo col suo hip hop recording studio “SilverRoom”, collabora con la Tannen Records per la collana di ristampe dei classici del rap italiano "Vinili Doppia H”, dove aggiungerà un rinnovato splendore sonoro a titoli come “SXM” dai Sangue Misto, “107 Elementi” e “Messaggeri Della Dopa” di Neffa, “Scienza Doppia H” dei Colle Der Fomento, “Fastidio” di Kaos One e tantissimi altri titoli della collana.
Nel Febbraio 2017 pubblica il suo primo album solista, “ARGENTO”, uscito in doppio vinile, cd e digitale su Tannen Records. Un disco colmo di collaborazioni, tra cui Kaos One, Francesco Paura, Lord Bean, Colle Der Fomento, Lucci Brokenspeakers, Davide Shorty, Don Diegoh, Dsa Commando, 16 Barre, Metal Carter, Dj Craim, Claver Gold, Blo/B, Lord Madness, Kiave, Musteeno, Sottotorchio, Il Turco, Esa El Prez e Romanderground, e accolto con enorme entusiasmo da critica e appassionati, tra cui Redbull Musica, che se ne aggiudicherà l’uscita in anteprima sul suo sito. 
Sempre nel 2017 pubblica su Aldebaran Records un vinile 10” per il decimo anniversario di “Anima & Ghiaccio” dei Colle Der Fomento, che contiene il remix ufficiale di “La Fenice” e un remix inedito di “Punti Di Domanda”. 
Nel Maggio 2018 pubblica, nuovamente su Tannen Records, un secondo lavoro  in doppio Lp e digitale, dal titolo “PORTFOLIO”, su cui racchiude una selezione delle sue musiche in versione strumentale.
