Motorcycle vs. Ferry Corsten - As The Rush Comes  vs. Beautiful (Lucas N. Mashup)

As the Rush comes is one if not MY FAVORITE track of all times. I just can't explain why, but ever since the track was released in the early 2000s, every time I've been listening to it, it has given me goosebumps and has brought tears to my eyes.
I've been wanting to do something with it for a long time, but never felt I could live up to it. Those last weeks, with all your nice comments, you've given me the confidence to finally climb that Everest of mine.
Listening to the recent Techno releases on Beatport I stumbled upon this magnificent tune by Jonos, somewhere between Techno and Trance, and a little voice in my head told me "This is the one ! This track will perfectly fit As The Rush Comes". And that voice was right ! I think the 2 tracks were almost meant to meet :D

Born and Raised in Grenoble - FR, now living in the Geneva Area - CH,
I have been passionate about Electronic music and especially Techno since I was a kid. 
This is why you will find a lot of older, some would say classic tracks in my Reboots. Because my Techno memories take me wayyyyy back, and I work a lot based on my emotions and memories :)

To me, doing Mash Ups is a discipline on its own amongst Music Production. I do take it seriously. It's not just quickly putting a vocal in the break of another track, not really caring if it fits well or not, just to be cool and trend on a currently hyped track.
I'd rather not work on a track I love than doing it just for the sake of doing it and actually not bringing any interesting new dimension to it or do something mediocre. 
That's why it sometimes takes me several months between wanting to rework a track I like and actually doing it. because I won't do it if it half-assed. I will wait until I have something that truly fits and makes a worthy Reboot.
My philosophy when it comes to producing my Reboots is to create something new, to take the original track out of its context/style and give it a brand new identity, something that could be a remix, or another original track altogether, not just 2 different tracks played on top of each other.
I was standing right next to Joachim Garraud, back in 2005, when he dropped for the very first time this UFO of a track that "The Egg Vs Love don't Let me go" was. He had finished it earlier that day and had kept it a secret. I remember all of our faces, staring at each other, our jaws had all dropped to the floor. The entire club was SHOCKED, stunned, amazed, in TRANCE.
This is the impact, the power, a good Mash Up can have. It can be even more powerful than an original track, because it will take a track people already know and love, with all the emotions and memories they have associated to it, into a new universe. And this is EXTREMELY powerful.

Sunset Sessions - The monthly radio show from Stoby and Sonia Scott showcasing upcoming promos and established classics in the progressive house, melodic house and trance genres.

Originating from North Wales, UK, Stoby has been steadily building up a catalogue of releases and remixes on a variety of well respected record labels having found his first release on Solarstone’s “Pure” imprint. He has collaborated with several artists and so far has had two original tracks on the Pure Progressive label, a three track EP on Pure Trance and releases and remixes on Soluna Music, Premier Division and 3 Degree with future releases forthcoming on Black Hole Recordings and Krafted Underground. His weekly “Sunset Sessions” show which has been running for a year now showcases forthcoming progressive house and melodic techno and 2022 saw him and co-producer Sonia Scott playing alongside the likes of Solarstone, Paul Sawyer and Nick Muir.

Since then he has further relases on Krafted Underground; "I'm Enough" co-produced with Sonia Scott in 2023 saw Danny Stubbs on remix duties along with further releases on Pure Progressive with Sonia Scott's Evolution Remix remix of "Zen."

2024 has kicked off with a collaboration with Danny Stubbs and Sonia Scott... "Remind Me Of You" was released on Krafted Underground along with a stunning remix from Paul Sawyer. Further to this, Greg Murray's remix of Stoby and G Coulter feat Liz Cirelli's "Sun Is High" received and album release on Solarstone's Pure Trance 10 alongside a play on Armin Van Burren's A State Of Trance show episode 1148. 


2025 has kicked off with an EP on Krafted Underground. The "Feed Your Soul" EP also featured a full version of "I Want You" originally selected for Simon Sinfield's Krafted Chill 2024.
