They give me what I want for doing what I must. Visions of gold melting, and the faces of people I’ve encountered across different timelines dance in my mind. My memory is hazy, a fragmented puzzle. I have a sense that there might be others like me, but I don’t know for certain. The only constant is the Federation, echoing in my mind, reminding me of my duty—to them and to myself. In return, they help me remember, offering a place to rest my mind.

How did all this begin? I’ve read a few books about other beings, whose desires and motivations don’t quite align with mine. These readings help when I’m out there, navigating the unknown. I often wonder if there are other R-Days like me. Today, I finally found the house mentioned in the report. But the target was gone—only a sweet family remained. How was I created? I plan to use my next credit points to ask about that, hoping I won’t fail any missions before then.

Once I confirmed the position, they extracted me, sending me back to my comfy room box where I get everything I want—except history, contact with other beings, and gold or precious metals. I wonder what the others do in their cabins, if there are others. I can’t work with anyone, and no one can work with me. Why is that?

These thoughts swirl in my mind as I lie in my cabin, isolated but not alone. The Federation’s whispers and my own questions are my constant companions. Each mission brings me closer to answers, or so I hope. Until then, I’ll keep doing what I must, for the rewards they offer and the fragments of memory they restore.
