Asymmetric chief Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a superb five track EP 'Ethereal Beacons'.

Opening track 'Climbing Frame' sets optimistic and mysterious organ-like tones against a driving rhythm full of machine-gun hi-hats and solid kick drums. Title track 'Ethereal Beacons' continues that theme albeit in a slightly more playful mood; a track with two distinct personalities that come and go. 'Metagalactic' follows, with an electro-like beat and splinters of staccato futurism. Next up is 'Altostratus' which keeps the combination of melancholy and hope but with a slightly heavier and grainier rhythm section. Closing the EP is the pure techno of 'Strong-Arm', full of swirling notes and constantly changing percussive elements glued together with a solid four-to-the-floor kick.

Asymmetric boss Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with an intriguing five track EP 'Calm In The Storm'.

The title track 'Calm In The Storm' sets the mood with a mournful yet calming pad that rises and falls against a solid four-to-the-floor driving rhythm. 'Peculiar Turns' follows in quirky fashion; off kilter beats and mysterious sonic fragments coming and going. 'Rumble Strip' centres the release; a booming rhythm, undulating percussion and waves of arpeggio. Next up is 'Scotch Mist', an altogether darker affair setting tinges of drum and bass against a playful melody. To finish is 'Pulse Dialing', an organic toe-tapper of pure techno minimalism; sonic solace if ever there was a better way of putting it.

Asymmetric head Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a tantalising five track EP 'Number Crunching'.

Title track 'Number Crunching' slaps you around the face with its machine-gun percussion and heavy kick whilst a gritty sonic landscape swirls around. 'Into The Red Valley' is quite the provocative number, constantly evolving, constantly shifting layers of sound over a steady four-to-the-floor. Third track, 'Komorebi', floats into place with a dream-like melody intertwined with pads and held together by an instantly recognisable Asymmetric style percussive drum section; sunlight leaking through trees. Next up is the retro-feeling of 'Countersink' before the release closes with 'Mysterious Clouds', a sublime almost 10 minute sonic journey grounded by heartbeat-like kicks; an absolute beauty of a track.

Title track 'Olive Branches' sets the EP off with a solid beat and crunchy waves of rhythmic sound layered with a pensive melancholy. Up next, 'Mutate To Survive' heads right to the floor with a booming kick and pulsating stabs… smoke, dark, strobe, eyes closed... 'Mercurial Return' is pure Asymmetric magic; time signatures, filters, looping percussion all playing with each other in a hectic but immediate way. 'Recollection' slows the pace with its shifting timbres, steady heart beat and sense of yearning. Finishing the release is 'Trust The Process', persistent beating percussion, uplifting pads and simply full of hope.

'Bloom' kicks off the EP with a delightful collision of solid rhythm and crystalline shards of melody before 'Kairotic' goes for the jugular with its almost disorientating swirling lead. 'Spiralling' brings a lovely slice of chunky wonkiness before title track 'Hiraeth' lands with its wistful yet hopeful yen. Bringing the EP to a close is the driving force of 'Punching Through'; four to the floor and constantly pulling forward towards a brighter place.

Asymmetric head Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a much anticipated five track EP 'Ghost Reaction'.

'Limerence' opens the EP in a confident mood with a solid four-to-the-floor beat, burbling acid and Detroit-tinged chords which bring a playful tension as the track progresses. Second up, is the title track 'Ghost Reaction', a powerful, bass-heavy and shuffling beast that is juxtaposed with a typically assured Kennedy melody. 'Obsession' centres the release with its undulating wash and electro-like beat set against wistful, delicate tones. 'Splinters' brings the mystery with shards of gritty swirling frequencies and a heavy-hitting Asymmetric double-kick beat. Closing the EP is 'Cold Sweat' which takes the tempo down a notch but keeps the intensity up with its solid kick, metallic pulsing and acid-like bass fluctuations. Dig in!

'Isolated States' grinds the EP into gear in an upbeat way with yearnful drones and sprinkles of sonic dust and percussive punctuation before 'Reaching' introduces washes of evolving spacious sound over a steady heartbeat kick. 'Bygones' is up third and pulses with electricity and conjures something of a futuristic landscape of its own ahead of title track 'Utopian Fields' which stirs together its sounds of hope and unease. Closing the EP is 'Absence', spacious but melancholy with a persistent undercurrent lurking beneath.

Asymmetric main man Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a diverse five track EP 'Radical Trust'.

Opening the EP is 'Chrysalism', driven by solid 909 kicks and toms, sprinkled with hats and layered with delicate melody and an occasional bass emphasis. Second track 'Kenetic' brings pure minimalist techno joy with its undulating organ pulses before 'Pitter-Patter' with its curious combination of dystopian and hopeful textures. Title track 'Radical Trust' is up next and sees Kennedy firing off in a Drum & Bass direction, showcasing a beautiful juxtaposition in sound design so typical of Asymmetric, heaviness, glitchiness and optimism. Closing the release, the tempo slows with 'Into Thin Air', a steady walking bass joined by playful notes and deft percussion.

Opening the EP, is 'Heat-Seeker' which goes straight for the jugular with its machine-gun kicks, playful arpeggios and weaving 303 punctuation. Next up, title track 'Becoming Invisible' where gritty movie-like pads soar above a steady kick heartbeat. Centering the release, 'Constant Overload' brings its restless bass pulses and delicate melodic shards set against a super-solid infectious four-to-the-floor beat. 'Vector Six' is up next and brings more grit and rawness, claustrophobic and occasionally coming up for air. Bringing things to a finish, 'Soaring' tempts the imagination with its waltz-like kick and quietly wavering melodrama.

Inigo Kennedy is a pioneering and respected techno and electronic music producer and DJ. Since early on he experimented with electronics and technology and immersed himself in the airwaves, music stores and scenes of London, Manchester and beyond. From there has evolved his distinctive sound and attitude to music making and performance - entertaining accidents, taking risks and steadfastly following his heart rather than the herd.

He is well known for always bringing technical and creative originality and skill to his work - not least to his own innovative label Asymmetric which freely criss-crossed the electronic music landscape.

His DJ schedule has taken him all over the globe where he consistently plays energetic and emotionally-charged sets - often throwing in curve-balls or nodding to classic tracks that have shaped his own musical arc.

He has been responsible for a large and diverse back catalogue of releases and remixes on a number of labels around the world and has worked under a number of aliases such as Reducer and Tomito Satori. His discography stretches to well over 100 releases on vinyl, CD and digitally on established, if not seminal, labels such as Missile, Semantica, Stroboscopic Artefacts and current home, Token.

He is now a keystone of the Token label, having been responsible for its first release in 2007 and dozens of releases, remixes and collaborations since. He has planted seeds along the label's history with bold, distinctive and memorable tracks like 'Arcing', 'Cathedral', 'Obsidian', 'Plaintive', 'Voyager' and 'Tornado'. His critically acclaimed LP 'Vaudeville' released in 2014 perfectly captured his uniquely evocative sound and attitude.

Fast forward to 2018 and the culmination of his next steps with a powerful follow-up LP 'Strata' for Token. As the title of the tenth release on the label put it, onwards and wrongwards!
