Claus Trophobia's third album “Contact” is a layered, psychedelia-tinged rock album that fuses raw power trio energy – guitar, bass, and drums – with rich atmospheric textures. Mellotron swells and a theremin run through a ring modulator and Space Echo add a haunting, otherworldly dimension.

Lyrically, the album offers a dark reflection of our times: a cynical reckoning with human recklessness, laced with dystopian imagery and flickers of melancholic hope. But don’t worry – despite the elegiac tone, this album seriously rocks.

The Years Between (Songwriter Demo)

This electronic track, titled "Data Thugs," pulsates with a raw, criminal energy. A catchy yet sinister lead guitar melody weaves its way through the grimy atmosphere, while ominous dark synths, a relentless pulsing bassline, and pounding drums drive the track forward. It’s a tense and brooding sonic journey into the heart of a futuristic heist.

佐世保湾に広がるリアス式海岸や九十九島の複雑な入り組みは、時間と地形が折り重なって生まれた風景です。
私たちはその構造を音でなぞりながら、土地に流れる時間と記憶を編み直そうとしました。

それぞれの音源を編集し、特定の周波数帯を少しずつ重ねることで地層のような響きを形成。
過去の声を逆再生することで、時間の流れを折り返す操作を加えました。鉄道アナウンスや方言のイントネーションが混ざり合い、地域特有のリズムが浮かび上がります。

その上に重ねたシンセサイザーは、短い断片から長い持続音へと変化し、深度を増しながらやがて水面に光を反射するかのような音色を帯びていきます。

本作は、furutaとarcoによる共作です。
