Clocking in with their debut transmission on Stil vor Talent, Turkish outfit Headwaters & Menachem 26 team up on 'Pixel Desert' - a two-track single bound to take dance floors by storm with its laser-precise engineering of Middle-Eastern folk music tropes, 303-emulated acid basswaves and '80s-indebted synth uplift. True to the trio's trademark blends of immersive club narratives and heavy-duty jack, '8bit Desert' gets the ball rolling on a mischievous note. Pulling out typical Turkish-style harmonics processed through some eerie, spookily funky FX, which they fleshed out with a finely integrated layering of cinematic strings and obsessive lysergic swashes, the track packs some seriously magnetic punch. In what could be the soundtrack to an intense club scene in a Miami-based 90s thriller starring Michael Douglas or basically any Michael Mann flick from the era, 'A Touch of Love' oozes pure synth-heavy sensuality and kosmische-laced contemplation. Waël Mechri-Yver, known artistically as WAÏ, is a multifaceted talent who has transitioned from a trailblazer in the entertainment industry to an international recording artist. His journey began nearly two decades ago, with a passion for community building and live performance that saw him create successful music ventures like BABËL and its Gospël club & curate Silencio NYC. These platforms became known for their immersive experiences, combining music, art, and performance in unique venues.
 
In 2015, a silent meditation retreat inspired WAÏ to shift his focus from curating music to creating it. Over eight years, he honed his craft, developing a distinct sound that he now shares with the world through his debut EP, "Liberation," set for release on June 21, 2024.
 
This dance-floor-ready, two-track release includes "Sanctify," featuring soulful vocals by Marieme, and "Faith," an eight-minute ode to transformation. "Music has always been my greatest passion and refuge," says WAÏ.
 
His EP, premiering via Stil Vor Talent/A Tribe Called Kotori, symbolizes both personal and artistic liberation. Collaborating with talented individuals like his Portuguese co-producer Stego and Senegalese American singer-songwriter Marieme, WAÏ brings a fresh and dynamic energy to the international music scene, continuing to innovate and inspire.

From the iconic stages of Webster Hall and Sony Hall in New York City to the legendary Robot Heart bus at Burning Man and the world's number one club, HÏ in Ibiza, WAÏ has shared the spotlight with influential and respected electronic artists of our generation. Alongside the likes of Black Coffee, Dixon, Guy Gerber, Damian Lazarus, The Martinez Brothers, and Lee Burridge...
