¿Se puede tener esperanza en los tiempos que corren? El estado de las cosas no se presta a ser muy optimistas, pero hay algunos fogonazos a los que aferrarse, sin que eso signifique no reflexionar y rehacerse para seguir adelante. Eso es lo que hacen Ruiseñora en "Aurora", un nuevo álbum que encuentra al dúo extremeño-canario en un estado especial de gracia discursiva, musical y expansiva.

No ha sido fácil para Ruiseñora llegar a "Aurora", a todas luces su mejor álbum hasta la fecha: los altibajos y bloqueos se resolvieron con un internamiento musical en plena estepa castellano-manchega (en la Resididencia creativa La Gascona), que ayudó a desbloquear y a encontrar un horizonte sonoro que trae a Elia y Atilio ante un álbum profundamente personal, donde más se autoanalizan como proyecto, pero donde también encuentran nuevas vías para esa 'psicodelia popular' que llevan abanderando desde sus inicios. Así lo confiesan ellos mismos:
 
"Un disco lleva mucho tiempo, mucho esfuerzo, y este tuvo sus altibajos; a veces parecía que se venía abajo como el mundo este que nos ha llevado a contarlo y cantarlo así. Teníamos que conjugar la esperanza que atesoramos dentro con la desesperanza de lo que pasa fuera, y eso quieren ser estas diez canciones: un intento de banda sonora para esta era de disociación entre un mundo que se desmorona y una vida en la que todavía hay mucho bueno y mucho bello"

Dando un paso más allá en la idea de fusión entre el folclore en su aspecto más amplio, la electrónica de vanguardia y los giros eminentemente pop, "Aurora" alumbra unos Ruiseñora ante un nuevo pulso que, sin embargo, sigue siendo hermano de los pulsos anteriores que fueron echando al mestizaje sonoro.

Con colaboraciones de Yeli Yeli, Buenatarde o Carmen Maqueda, y tras haber presentado estos últimos meses los sencillos "Bulería de feriantes", "A tierra quemá" y "Para no olvidar", donde no dejan de habitar el flamenco pero en donde se inyectaban ideas que iban desde el eurodance al pasodoble posmoderno; el cancionero es de una riqueza absoluta: versionan a Miguel de Molina ("Dos Cruces"), cierran el disco con una canción por las voces calladas a la fuerza por el genocidio en Palestina ("Desde el río hasta el mar"), dejan sus recados más cerca de la electrónica industrial ("Salve serás"), al synthpop más florido ("Aurora") o de un pop electrónico casi moroderiano ("Déjalo arder").

"Aurora" es un auténtico hilo de esperanza en este mundo que se viene abajo, del miedo a volver a casa y a volver a tantas cosas, de las amigas y su poder sanador. Pero también tiene palmas, luz y baile y una versión en vinilo de 12" diseñada por Ricardo Barquín Molero que es una absoluta fantasía.

I write music as a hobby, but for a long time I couldn't find any motivation to do so due to personal reasons.
Some time ago, I discovered Aurora's music, which was unexpected, since I normally listen almost exclusively to hardstyle, a genre which is the polar opposite of Aurora's music.
However, her vocals captivated me, and inspired me to finally start working on music again.

Each song is conceived, composed, and performed with total sincerity, whether it’s built from voices, instruments, software, or hybrid experimentation. SINCERE IMPOSTER is curated by two musicians, both living within the same body, sharing a singular existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused, yet extremely and unapologetically sincere.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
