Music can be used to manage pain and reduce physical tension it can alter the perception of pain, making it feel less intense.
Listening to music together can increase levels of oxytocin, a hormone associated with bonding and trust. 
These are just a few things listening to music can achieve, there’s a lot more that can be benefited from listening to good quality music.
