A brutally honest look at my unhealthy coping mechanisms.

The unmeasured hedonism. The burnout in pursuit of ambition.
The functional dissociation I have been forced into lately.
How all of this compounds into my already existing chaos.

I low-key hate this song though. It's so fucking beautiful but it's too personal and I spent SO much time on it. Main melody and harmonies changed SO many times. It went through 3 different genres. Several lyric rehauls. I must have listened to it over 500 times. At some point I felt like the gods did not want me to publish it. A kind of spiritual block.

I could still work on it more. Desperately attempt to correct any little thing I still don't like about it... Just a little more and it will be perfect. This serendipity in my creative process that reflects both the perfectionism and decadence that permeates the theme of the song is not lost on me, or resented.
