After a much needed break, I'm pleased to say I'm back in the shack and cooking up musical delights for ya. This one is something I've been meaning to do for a while - this track would be a bit of a guilty pleasure if I was in any way guilty about liking it. It’s a banger… there's so many bits that I like in this tune and a few bits that I don't, so I've rebuilt it as an extended 7 minute monster. Lots of messing about with stems in here, and the end result is familiar, but kind of different. I hope you enjoy it - of course it's yours for free, sugar!

London-based DJ, producer and radio host Even Funkier weaves together Disco, Funk, House, Soul, Boogie, Jazz, Hip Hop and Global delights to create something fresh, irresistibly funky and downright groovy. He plays tunes from across the decades, genres and BPMs, mixing up hidden gems with tried and tested favourites, with a focus on sweet, sweet Disco music brought right up to date for modern dancefloors.

As a DJ he’s taken his trademark rollercoaster genre-fluid sets to locations including Glastonbury, ADE and Westival, playing parties for Midnight Riot, Good Custard, Project Bango, Pineapple Police Horse and DiscNoTheque. And as a producer he’s released on over 20 labels labels including Tropical Disco, Hot Digits, Mango Sounds, The Disco Express, Midnight Riot and TheBasement Discos.

Boogie Shack are a 5 piece party band who play a dynamic mix of classic songs from the soul, funk, disco & pop genres. Unlike many bands on the circuit, Boogie Shack meticulously re-create the driving grooves and rhythms that propelled a nation onto the dancefloors of the 1970s. This attention to detail ensures that whether you prefer to sit and listen, or dance the night away, Boogie Shack will leave your audience wanting more and your event long remembered as a truly great party.

Their authentic approach to performing the classics that form their repertoire is made possible by the incredible musicianship of the band. Boogie Shack's members are all professional musicians who are renowned for their exemplary “feel.” Without this, it is impossible to do justice to the songs they love to perform.

As well as covering the greatest songs from the soul, disco & funk genres of the 1960s,70s & 80s, Boogie Shack also cater for the younger listener by performing more modern hits by artistes such as Amy Winehouse, Paloma Faith, Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk. This means that there is truly something for everyone to enjoy in their vibrant set.

To further compliment their fantastic music, Boogie Shack are known for the great camaraderie and interplay between the band members on stage. This stems from the fact that all the members of Boogie Shack are great friends offstage and truly love what they do. This happy “family” atmosphere helps to break down the barrier between the band and their audience, and also makes them very approachable at the bar after their performance!

Individually and collectively, Boogie Shack have to date performed with a whole host of famous artistes, including INXS, Crowded House, Rick Astley,  the Commitments Band, Men at Work, Midnight Oil, and more recently the upcoming US Pop/Soul star Jessica Clemmons live on BBC Radio 2. They have extensively toured the UK and Europe, and even Australia, where members of the band enjoyed success with a Top Ten hit single.
