As a solo artist and founding member of the Jet Life Crew, Young Roddy has built a successful career for himself, learning from some of the most talented rappers in the game. Roddy kicks things off with a smooth entrance, then Smoke DZA steps in, dropping a fantastic verse before passing it off to Curren$y, who puts the cherry on top. When a cast like this steps to the plate, everyone expects them to hit it out of the park, which is exactly what they have done.  While they aren’t collaborating as frequently as they were at the beginning of their careers, it’s always a treat to see them reunite; they possess a calming, yet infectious energy and their lyrical content is always refreshing.

“‘After Hours’ represents the grind we put into this game. We are ready to feed the streets this hood gospel,” Roddy told HotNewHipHop, which premiered the single.

Young Roddy x Smoke DZA x Curren$y - After Hours

This was HUGE for me coming right off the success of ALMIGHTY. Finally, M-Eighty working on a member of the Wu-Tang Clan's album after my extensive work with Killah Priest, Bronze Nazareth, and the likes.  "Alphabets" displays the lyrical dexterity and grimy story telling from the GZA I admire. 

Depending on when and where you bought this album you may or may not have a copped a copy that has my name in the credits. See around this time Babygrande and Dreddy Kruger (Think Differently) were at odds over certain monies owed or yet to be paid, scheduling etc and Babygrande had made a very very SIZEABLE offer for M-Eighty to step in in lieu of Dreddy and deliver some very valuable products their way.  As a loyal person, I told Dreddy of this and instead of him thanking me for informing him he lost his cool and didn't view my loyalty in the same light as he felt the student was beginning to out grow the teacher for Babygrande to make such a prominent offer for me to carry on the TDMG brand under their wing without Dreddy.  

From that day forth, Dreddy and I haven't worked on a single project together. Dreddy has since worked alongside Folk & Stress & the 67 Mob and the student definitely became the new Master as my works to follow included releases from Canibus, Keith Murray, Timbo King, Kurupt, and many more! 

Tracks / features recorded for this album that didn't make the final product included: Killah Priest, Sean Price, and Mos Def which time didnt permit for.

I could write an entire book about the day to day madness I had to go through to literally make this album from scratch. Perhaps some of the books highlights would be when 60 Sec thought I tried to posion him when he found a piece of harm in his cheese pizza, or the time when I had to lock the door to my office when I thought he was going to kick it down and try and stab me while I was on a conference call with Babygrande, or any other day on this hilarious advernture. 

The track "M.O.A.N" represents the reunion of Sunz of Man with all 4 members doing the damn thing over a Bronze Nazareth beat and Hell Razah really slamming a home run at the end to polish off the diamond.

Atlanta's hip-hop scene just got hotter with the premiere of Drako's new track "Racks On Me" featuring Lil Baby.  Drako, first emerged onto the Atlanta hip-hop scene with his debut single "Watch Me Do It".  After the Daps (Migos) directed video premiered, the track took off on Atlanta's V-103 and Streets 94.5 FM and gained exposure on a national level.  The song also made its mark on the Atlanta club scene, charting at #2 behind "Bodak Yellow" on Atlanta's Coalition DJs club charts, while receiving national mixshow airplay.  Drako's follow-up single, "Boss" featuring Yung Bans, was a massive viral hit, accumulating over a million streams within five days of its release.  Similarly, Lil Baby's trajectory has propelled him to become one of the most recognizable young artists in ATL. Lil Baby exploded on the scene with "Yes Indeed" featuring Drake and the single "My Dawg," which tracks landed on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Curren$y reconnects with Jet Life crew members Trademark Da Skydiver, and Young Roddy to take over the rap game on the new 206derek-produced single, "Plan of Attack."  With co-production by B-Eazy the DJ and SethFromAbove, "Plan of Attack" has been years in the making and marks the first collaboration from all three core members of the Jets in close to five years. Fans of the crew have been quite vocal on social media about wanting to see these three reunite, and now the three New Orleans legends are giving their audience exactly what they've demanded.

Hip-Hop lovers and critics alike agree that Curren$y’s Jet Life crew consists of the most beloved paper plane pilots in the game, with Pitchfork saying, “Rap is predicated on the idea of who you want to get high with and right now, the Jets run that lane.”  The crew continues to solidify its legacy on "Plan of Attack" and it's just a sample of what's in store for Curren$y, Trademark and Roddy in 2019. The trio is set to deliver  a collaborative project, which has been fully recorded and will be released via Babygrande Records later this year.

Atlanta’s Drako exploded onto the scene with his standout rookie mixtape, Fully Loaded. Atlanta's Drako is a man on a mission. After releasing his debut mixtape, Fully Loaded, the Babygrande Records artist returned ferociously with his premiere 2020 single, “On My Own,” and its accompanying GT Films-directed video. Between mounting views, an outpouring of fan love, and landing a spot on Spotify’s coveted Realest Down South playlist, the market has spoken -- they’re clamoring for more Drako. Heeding the call, Drako has quickly returned with another heater, “Pressure.”

Having spent his life grinding towards materializing his musical dreams, Drako understands the position he’s in: on the cusp of greatness, flirting with transcending the saturated hip-hop marketplace. But in order to rise above the dense competition, Drako knows that he can’t be hypnotized by the benchmarks of success that he’s achieved -- he must keep his foot on the gas, he must continue applying that pressure.
