Having worked with & been mates with the bloke for quite some time now it made sense to invite this guy to join the collection!! 

Fred AKA https://soundcloud.com/backfromthewave has been op-orating in electronic music for over 25 years, heavily influenced by New Wave with groups like Depeche Mode, New Order, and also by the beginnings of house music and techno from Detroit.

His interest in electronic music production started with only a bassline,  a Juno 106 synthesizer, and a sequencer. We’re very happy to welcome on board Back From The Wave for the latest release on the year of our 20th anniversary. Three original cuts followed by a Jorkes remix.
Fred is not a newcomer, he started in electronic music 25 years ago. He made his debut in the early 2000s on two techno and electro French labels: Goodlife and Scandium. Both were an inspiration for us when we started Factor City in 2003.
Back From The Wave is the most personal project of Fred, exploring and combining electro, techno, italo and Ebm. As he already showed on his excellent releases for Ritmo Fatale, Mélopée, Bordello A Parigi, Nein and here again on these exciting three tracks.
The Ep comes baked with an excellent Jorkes remix. The Stuttgart based producer and Freeride Millenium co-owner has delivered excellent records and remixes this year on Permanent Vacation, Aus and Live at Robert Johnson. Now on Factor City.

PREMIERE : Back From The Wave - Escape From The Void (Factor City Records)

Markus Schneider and Stefan Maurer, known as The Robot Scientists, are two music connoisseurs, DJs, and vinyl collectors hailing from Saarbrücken, Germany.

They are also two of the three founders of Emerald & Doreen Records, established in 2011, which specializes in releases on the fringes of italo and nu-disco.

As DJs, they emphasize italo and arpeggio basslines, believing that more is better. They creatively explore themes like robots, consciousness, psychedelics, superpowers, aliens, space travel, creativity, futurism, fun, and freedom. Their sound journeys into both utopian and occasionally dystopian realms, though they usually keep things light-hearted, reflecting their fun-loving nature.

Las but not least, they also run SOMETHING SPÆCIAL since 2013, one of the genre leading mix series on Soundcloud.

Brandski is a French electronic music producer, DJ, and live performer based in Toulouse. Known for his analog-driven sound, his music resonates with fans of analog textures and driving rhythms, offering a timeless fusion of dancefloor energy and melodic depth. He blends italo disco, electro, and EBM into sharp and cinematic tracks. Trained in classical music, Brandski evolved into electronic production since a decade. His music is powered by instruments like the Roland TR-707, the Yamaha DX-7 or the Korg MS-20.

His regular releases include EP like Paranoia on Division Record label, Optical Signal on Nein and the acclaimed Moonrider LP on Mélopée Records. With this album, he explored a journey through retro-futuristic music, carried by synths, deep grooves, and cosmic melodies. On tracks like “Disco Dance” and “Feather and Silk” he blended nostalgia and innovation.

He regularly performs live or as a DJ in clubs and festivals. This summer, you can catch Brandski on stages in Lyon, Dax, and Toulouse. Don't forget to follow him to stay updated on his upcoming releases and shows.
