For this track, I am playing my Squier HSS Strat (all stock) through a NU-X 20W amp, with a touch of gain and some reverb. The chords are Am, G and F which are being looped through my Donner looper pedal. There is a fair bit of background noise because I didn't realise this was being recorded and so you can hear my feet tapping as well as the couch as I move about when I play. I played better actually, thinking this wasn't being recorded, as it took the pressure off.

This track is dedicated to Mr. Eric Clapton.

Hi, I'm JJ. 

I had a mild stroke last year and it has affected the way I play guitar. If I take a more cautious approach, I am able to play for a short time before my playing becomes sloppy. 

Earlier this year however, I was able to record the track "Blues for Better Times" and the music just flowed out of me, so that gives me confidence I may return to something like the old me. I have not been able to replicate that degree of ability since though. 

So, I'm just taking things slowly for now. I have discovered a great YouTube teacher and I am feeling more capable because of that. 

"Blues For Pete F" was recorded pre-stroke and I could play that freely all the time before. I didn't have to keep doing things over to find something useable, as the music just seemed to always be there. Much more in the way of bends, vibrato. Just more control of the instrument generally.

Anyhow, this Soundcloud account is just to explore musical ideas, hence its name. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate it.
