After releasing his mesmerizing track "Anka" on BKHSVA003, VATO is back on the label with his EP "Aurora." The EP features three tracks filled with rumbling low-end. "Bixom" features a crunchy lead line and classic hypnotizing bleeps. "Lust" plays with the rhythmical interaction of textured atmospheres, a repetitive percussive lead, and snappy hats. "Nebula" pulls you into a different world with its subtle, mystic pads. The EP is rounded off by a bouncier yet just as detailed remix of "Lust" by Absolet.

BKHS Premiere: Vivez - Invariable (Waldymoto Remix) (SYEP026)

Reflecting on the Sofacast journey reminds me of just how magical this project has been. So many DJs have led us through the depths of electronic music, uncovering hidden gems from a vast sea of talented producers, each with their own unique voice. It’s a celebration of music, creativity, and the passion that connects us all.

As we reach the 100th episode, instead of a big spectacle, I opted for something more intimate. My dear friend and seasoned DJ, Backhaus, brings his signature touch to this special mix—proof that sometimes less truly is more.

Slowing down since...

Rasmus Backhaus is a Copenhagen based dj, who has been around for quite a while now and he is one half  of the dj duo Angebot. 

Even though his main influence and inspiration comes from Berlin, he spent his first four years dj’ing in metropolitan Barcelona back in the year of 2001, playing venues such as Macarena microclub, Apolo, La Paloma and Le Kasbah. He moved back to Copenhagen in 2005 where he quickly became a strong contender among the Danish dj circuit, dj'ing mainly at Vega Nightclub and at the now closed and legendary open-air venue, Luftkastellet. 

In the summer of 2019 Backhaus hooked up with friend and colleague, Bow Miller, and together they created Angebot.
Angebot is the result of their common interest and passion for world music and deep-driving downtempo.

These days he wants to play less, but good so to speak. Choosing only venues with the soundsystem and good vibes that he likes, such as Werkstatt, Hangaren and his all time favourite bar in the centre of Copenhagen, Log Lady

When dj'ing, Backhaus is all about connecting with the crowd, so that he can do what he does best; playing nice and deep mid-tempo electronic music, that leaves you bouncing and filled with warmth.
