To my loyal fans, I am alive! My sincerest apologies, as I have had a difficult year plagued with school and motivational issues. I promise to upload and create more content, as I do honestly have a lot of work collecting dust in Sibelius and Logic right now.

Anyway, this was one of my composition projects for lessons I took. It's a duet for horn and baritone saxophone. It sounds menacing, and honestly, I didn't know what to name the piece until I saw last summer's Transformer's movie. Scourge seemed like the right name, in honor of the film's main antagonist. Solo cadenzas are featured, too (even a cup muted horn part!). I hope you enjoy!

Pareidolia is an effect when we perceive human features in nonhuman things, such as clouds. This piece for an altered wind quintet is meant to evoke the feeling of looking up at the sky on a calm day and making out different images and possibilities in the clouds.

Hi, my name is Iggy and I'm coming to NYU this year as an undergraduated. I've spent the last two years studying composition at Interlochen Arts Acadamy where I've had the chance not only to have a lot of my original music performed live, but also work with many film and animation majors here, scoring and working with them on their progects. Last summer I also had the privalage of attending NYU's screen scorings summer workshop where I was also able to gain experience and knowledge directly from composers in the industry along with the faculty and my peers who attended. I have a deep love for film and every aspect of it so as a composer my goal is always to make the best piece of art we can make together.

PEAX uses a synthesis of styles to create a new musical universe. Ties Mellema and Barry Jurjus have a deep affection for musical diversity and make music which reflects the world of today. 
Coming from, and being trained as classical musicians, Barry and Ties decided that it was time for them to start making their own music. Music that was not confined to the boundaries of the concert hall yet has classical structures as a basis. PEAX is a cosmopolitan group that uses contemporary society in al its facets as an inspiration. PEAX seamlessly fuses the essence of minimal music with infectious dance vibes, African grooves, Latin rhythms and the electrifying energy of drum and bass. OF DE LAATSTE ZIN VERVANGEN DOOR DEZE: ? PEAX omarmt de futuristische klanken van techno en avant-garde en experimenteert met geluidssculpturen. Ze zwepen de luisteraar op én geven ruimte voor reflectie. 

PEAX plays their music either with high energy in front of a standing audience with a big sound and infectious grooves; or explores musical colors and emotions, beautiful melodies and intensity versus contemplation in a more contrasting performance; or curate an experience called ALL EARS, that gives a personal sense of events so different from each other in sound, feeling, acoustics and direction that it suggests being in a dream.
