John Stepan Namecnik's "Dancer of Navarre" is a photoplay cue -- i.e., music composed to accompany silent films, typically played by a small pit orchestra.

Navarre is generally considered part of Basque country, so I've used 'Basque Celebration' by Darío de Regoyos (1857-1913) to illustrate the probable subject.

In the fifth episode, kk4rbon and xir1miri dive into Basque music from northern Spain. From folk music like Trikitixa, which revolves around the diatonic accordion, to Basque post-punk styles. An attempt to show the beauty of this mysterious language that was temporarily oppressed under a dictatorial regime, this set shows music as a means of resistance and underlines the strong and powerful sound from Euskadi.
