BAUR is Jakarta-based music producer Aditya Permana. 
The band is defined through its raw, primitive sound, heavily inspired by the home tape recording culture of the late 1980s.

BAUR's music frequently contains fragments of TV and radio news, containing a collage of social and political commentary that leans toward a satirical and cynical context. Reflecting upon the chaotic and polluted environment of Jakarta, BAUR’s long play format often narrates a reality that is gritty and apocalyptic but also containing melancholy and hope.

On Saturday 2nd March 2024, Aditya Permana debuts music project BAUR
along with experimental film maker Aditya Martodiharjo, to a small group of
enthusiasts at Studio 22nya, an intimate space showcasing 
independent artists.

The hour long performance expands on a range of unpublished materials,
moving through ambient sonic textures to more distorted, expansive sounds.
